Weekly Time-Devourers (GOG/Steam) - Galaxy Admirals ~$0.66 AUD + GOG RPGs

170

This week I've gone for a bunch of games that can consume hours upon hours upon hours of you time!

The feature is an early access game called Galaxy Admirals. It's like chess with spaceships on a rotating hexagonal board. It looks really simple but it's actually quite a fun and deep tactical game . Here's a gameplay video by TheGreenLing.

Below are a collection of some of my favourite RPGs on special at GOG.

Game Genre Price (AUD) Rating Gameplay
Shadowrun Returns Turn-based RPG $4.09 (80% off) 4.1/5 By SplatterCatGaming
Shadowrun Dragonfall - Director's Cut Turn-based RPG $4.09 (80% off) 4.6/5 By Yippee Ki Yay Mr Falcon
Wizardry 6+7 RPG $1.69 (80% off) 4.7/5 #6 By dfortae, #7 By ArbitraryWater
Wizardry 8 RPG $2.79 (80% off) 4.7/5 By YourGibs Gaming
Legend of Grimrock RPG $4.09 (80% off) 4.6/5 By AlmostHumanGames
Unepic Action RPG $2.79 (80% off) 4.3/5 By Xuhybrid

Enjoy :)

I thoroughly recommend Wizardry 8, one of the best RPG's I have ever played. Fantastic story with endless replayability due to all the classes, such a shame sirtech shut down :(

    Anyway great post!

Yep, absolutely. I actually got massively hooked on Wizardry 7 in my younger days. And by massively, I mean playing for 10+ hours at a time. Was so addicted to it!

Wizardry 8 was basically the same. It was really cool that through 6, 7 and 8 there was a running plot, and depending on how you finished each one, subtle differences would appear in the subsequent ones. I think it mostly had to do with where you started each game though.

    +1 for your ongoing commitment.

Thanks! It's something I tend to do anyway each week (check the games specials), so I thought it was worth sharing with my fellow Ozbargainers :)

Not sure many people would go to the effort on a weekly basis and in such detail.
