Kathmandu Centaurus Sleep Suit $59.98 + Delivery (or Free Store Collect)

210

For those that missed out on the last deal, it's back down to $59.98.

I'm unfamiliar with H3 insulate fill (used in this), but plan to use it to up my sloth game at home. I imagine it's great for gaming, marathon TV sessions, and general lazy-at-home use. I don't know how well it would fare in an actual camping situation..

Good to know you can throw on some dress shoes and wear it out to dinner too!

up my sloth game at home

To do that, make sure you cut appropriate holes both front and back for ablutions. No mess no fuss!

  • damn I didn't need to see this today, I'm on a budget but this looks so appealing

It's so damn cold here right now that I actually find myself wanting this. If it had full sleeves I would be 100% sold.

Misread as Centaur's Sleep Suit – upvoted.

  • I actually thought of this when I read the item description

Although in either case, I don't know why you wouldn't just get a proper sleeping bag or a down jacket and thermal pants

    • I have both a down jacket and thermals but I would need to change in to those - and I'm really lazy.

Kathmandu products are overprice, they always do fake mark up price.

    • This is true. But I have had the webpage for this open on my mobile since the last deal, waiting for it to drop again. Wouldn't have bought it otherwise

  • Wish it had sleeves.

    • Don't you own scissors ?

      • he doesn't have a pair

        • not since the surfing accident, no….

I went into the store to try one on. Went for a walk between the two levels, I'm around six foot and I had to hold up the bottom of the garment. But that's to be expected they have made it purposefully long so you can comfortably tie up the bottom when you want to use it as a sleeping bag.

I decided against purchasing it because a) I already have a sleeping bag and warm clothes and b) I didn't really like the feel of the plastic, it will keep you as warm as a good pants and jacket but I'd rather the nice feel of wool (or substitute as in a 'fleece' snuggie) than the plasticy feel of the synthetic.

Even though they weren't full of fill (so hardly heavy) and wouldn't be good for sub zero temps I can see them trapping a lot of body odour. The one I tried on had a fair bit of musk.
Basically felt like one of those 200g/m2 polyester bag with a drawstring bottom and flaps for arms. Would pay $20 for it (for a lark even though I would probably hardly use it) but $60 is still a bit of a hit.

  • cheers OP, bought 2 to replace our thin Aldi's sleeping bag..
