Very funny post, Goldendragon168! Where did you find out about this, they never do 60% discount?

I wish I had that pillow, might help reduce my addiction to OzBargain!

I'm not sure if I'm dreaming, but I swear a few years back I bought a Tontine pillow that was a down pillow with a memory foam neckroll - the only pillows of similar styling I can find now are a Posturepedic Zonal Support ($$$$$) or this http://www.necksolutions.com/down-pillows.html from the States ($$$$$).

Anyone know if I'm just using the wrong keywords? I can't stand a full memory foam pillow, nor a full down one - at the moment I'm using a down pillow with a separate neck roll that can be squeezed into the pillow case, but it's not nearly as supportive as I'd like.

You snooze, you lose. Some other good deals on the site as well. Looks like I might be buying up some new pillows for the family.

    • +1

If the pillow's really good, you might end up losing in the future.

    • +1 for the pun.

  • Thanks. Lots of other good stuff for sale as well. Bought pillow today and will have a closer look tomorrow for a doona.

Myer has tontine anti allergy polyester pillow for $15 http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/online-only/tontine-anti…
with click and collect or $9.95 delivery.
Still cheaper than tontine site which is selling on sale for $27.97. So look for the best bargain

    • Out of stock?

  • I got this during the 40% off sale for $50.97. Wonder why it is more expensive at the 60% off sale http://www.tontine.com.au/therapillo-flexible-support-memory…

    • Sale is up to 60% off. Not 60% off everything

    • What is different in a memory "fibre" pillow vs a memory foam pillow?

    • How did you find it?

  • if…only if it is 50% off everything!T.T

I've found memory foam pillows to be way too firm.

  • Which ones better, latex pillows or memory foam?

    • +4

      latex is much better.

      • Do they smell?

        • +1

New Smell - After a couple of days it goes away or a couple hours in the sunlight
Old Smell - I have 2 latex pillows still look like new (5 yrs old, cost $100) Nil smell - but I do hand wash them every 6 months or so.

      • Why much better?

  • Pillow fights suddenly got a lot more expensive.

    Pfft, amateurs.

Real men sleep on the floor with a block of wood for a pillow!

    • +5

You have a pillow? Real men never rest! But when they recharge it is done on a pile of the bodies of their slain enemies!

  • Have been contemplating over the Therapillo Cooling Gel pillow for awhile now and saw this! Can anyone compare? This is almost 1/3 of the price (therapillow is currently $107 at Myers/DJ)!

    • +2

Haven't heard great things about the gel pillow - heard its like 'sleeping on a wet flannel'. I bought a dunlopillo memory foam a while ago, find it a bit too high even in medium. Tempur millennium pillow is what I use currently, took a few weeks to get used to it but now it's difficult to sleep on anything else.

  • OP - call me observant, but your profile pic is astonishingly similar to moocher…

We've got a few Totoro fans on the website

      • +4

Oh, so that's what it is… Here I was thinking along the lines of a severely suntanned Pikachu or something.

        • I'm glad Pikachu doesn't look like Totoro lol

  • Anyone tried DUNLOPILLO TEMPRAKON FEATHER & DOWN PILLOW before? Seems good price with the 60% off if it's good

    • I was wondering the same thing. Looking for something Medium-Firm, however the description doesn't say for this one.

    • +1

Seen number of times in Cosctco, about half of what they are selling for

      • u mean exactly the same brand and same item but $60 at Costco? Definitely the Feather & Down one? they do make similar packaging but its the memory foam one which is cheaper.
Also, no Costco in WA :(

  • Their quilts are still a bit pricy.

  • Anyone can recommend which one is good for neck pain ?

  • Any suggestion for winter?

  • Got one, thanx OP

  • Ordered one. Thank you.

    Checkout Myer's sale.

I just purchased the King size Tontine Anti-Allergy Quilt in King size.

It's $125.97 "On special" at Tontine

    $69 at Myer…

  • Been after a couple of these for a while and waited for a sale, so thanks for the post otherwise I may have missed it.

  • Been having sleeping troubles I feel due to the uncomfortably of my current pillow so willing to take a bet and try this one.

    Thanks

  • Any reviews on this pillow?

  • +1

I tried a premium memory foam pillow before tempur and I tried another brand, both times regretted it caused me severe neck pain. I guess to each his own but be careful as memory foam doesn't suit everyone

Sounds appealing but I suspect its just a damn foam with little pockets of gel here and there.
    Anyone tried ?

  • When do they dispatch?

    • Ordered on Thursday, Shipping information received by Australia Post on Friday. So it's on it's way.

  • Received today.
I bought 4 more (already have 4 in the house)
Seriously I forgot how bad the smell is at first, but it does go away and they are the best pillows i've ever used.
For reference, i had spinal surgery 12 months ago and i still can't sleep on any other pillow.

    • Are these the Tontine Fresh Gel Top Memory Foam Pillows you're referring to?

I've used memory foam in the past and just found them to be too firm. I just would have thought somebody whose had spinal surgery would prefer something more pliable/softer like latex. I'm not an expert on pillows or backs and purely speculating. Simply seeking a recommendation and advice.

      • Hey,
Yeah I'm referring to the pillows from this deal.
They are are medium firmness and being memory foam they mould to your natural neck line.
Latex feels nice also but I find they don't contour to your neck line.

Try these, you won't regret it
