I'm on the hunt for a 85+ inch TV for our boardroom and a projector is out of the question.
I've noticed most mainstream models don't go above 75' and do not want to spend over 10k.
Was proposing the 85' TCL but it was knocked back due to branding so looking for the next best thing.

Looking for the middle ground in regards to 85-100 inch TVs under 10k suitable for a boardroom with a decent brand.

The old boardroom has a FD730U and a 100' screen but it seems to be lacking in regards to quality even with the blinds down and the new boardroom is a fishbowl type of layout which will struggle with the amount of lighting coming through it.
Either way it has been semi decided to go down the path of a large LCD to fit out a 5M long room and i just need to find something suitable.
Non-technical types have this funny idea that projectors are old tech, or not bright enough for daytime.
These days, for as little as 4 grand, you can get a top brand conference-room unit with 6000 lumens that'll do the job nicely:

Good luck finding a decent brand 85+ inch TV for 2-3 times that…
The old one had 4100 lumens but seemed to struggle during board meetings with the lights on and the blinds up.
Warm up times and cool down times were a little cumbersome at times so they have decided to try and move forward.
12k seems to be the next tier of pricing for the same size with a decent brand but looking to get a little more bang for buck.

I've spoken to my mate at the Goodguys who just needs a model number of anything suitable if that helps and he will work out the price for me.
Did you end up making any progress on this?
The CEO believes he has a contact for a 85inch TV and it has been left in his hands. Case closed in my eyes.
Also if anyone else was also doing a similar exercise then I believe Costco would have been a good option as long as they have them in stock, I forgot the details but it was swinging in that direction.
Transportation can be an issue but as mentioned before it didn't get that far.
