PayPal covers return shipping 👌
It will therefore be interesting to learn how the scam works…. Or how PayPal worms out of refunding you…. Keep us updated…
If it sounds 1000% too good to be true. It probably is.
You may not have wasted your money, but you will waste your time trying to get that $21 back.
No feedback as a seller, don't count your luck on receiving it.
Also their feedback profile states they're from the US but item is in Denmark, maybe that's just how Ebay shows it, being a US signed up account maybe
Definitely scam. Note that the seller has 100% feedback but only as a buyer, not a single feedback as a seller. This is typical trick aimed at people who glance the feedback, and think: OK, 100%, he is clean. Free shipping from Denmark for large, heavy item, total price $21? Bundle with "Professional vision 4K 12 Megapixel HD Camera Extra BATTERY"? "14 day money back, seller pays return postage"? Only one, generic photo.
Many people here are curious how it will end, but it is clear already: no, this is definitely not genuine. I would be tempted to report it to eBay now, before other people get caught. Expected price of this item is (depending on configuration) around $1,000.
PS: it appears that there is no eBay mechanism to report a scam listing unless you buy an item and did not receive it, or it turns out to be not as described. But if you did not buy - not possible to alert eBay and protect future potential buyers (I could not find such option). Interesting.
There is an option on the listing called Report item in the same line as Description/Postage and Payments which is available only on the desktop site and one which requires you to sign-in before you can report the item. Unfortunately, Scamming is not one of the listed options as I have tried it before. I have to chose some other category and have to write up an email to ebay customer service. Time wasted efforts as the listing re-appeared under a different alias. face palm
You either don't value your time or money or both, as there is zero chance of you getting the item. The effort required to recover that $21 would far exceed minimum wage.
I bet it's just for the battery.
$21 for the battery alone would be a steal. They're about $200.
I'm afraid it's too good to be true.. think about it, they retail for $1000 +
What will happen is that you will purchase it, and within a few days you will receive an email from PayPal or eBay stating that the account was hijacked (or something along those lines) and to contact whoever you used to pay for the item (ie. PayPal) to have your money reimbursed, which will take another few days - week.
It happened to me recently with a 500GB Internal HDD that was going for $26 (Which retails at $90+)
Took me about almost 2 weeks to have the money reimbursed.Save yourself the bullshit.
Reported, the listing has been removed 30min later.
You will receive a small piece of plastic jewellery. You will put in a claim. You will be required to send back jewellery at a cost of perhaps $12. You will decide that its not worth losing any more money over. You will be more wary in the future.
