Quickflix - 3 months FREE voucher valued @ $44.85

184

Quickflix voucher - 3 months FREE trial. For new customers only. Also $10 discount at Roses Only.
I signed up for the last Quickflix deal - 2months for $5.
Satisfied - quick turnaround and good selection. Didn't check out the DVD's but added about 50 decent movies to my Blu-ray queue. So far they've been quick, despite saying 'high demand' or 'long wait'.

Update: Didn't realise it was only 4 DVD's per month, thanks poster below. 12 dvd's rental for free anyway so good way to trial for those who have trouble getting to a videoshop, or just like getting mail!

    Dodgey company.

I unsuccessfully cancelled a trial period (as it turned out, the "cancel your subscription" button had to be pressed three times.) That was annoying and against fair practices, however, they did refund my money…

    …minus a $10 refund fee. And then…

…they charged me for another month after I'd cancelled!

They then refused to refund this as they didn't have proper records of my subscription. They refused to cross-check with their financial records.

    "So, remember kids, Qu!ckfl!x sux!"

This seems like an ideal candidate for a credit card chargeback

I too tried a free trial with them and found no problems whatsoever - they cancelled it fine, and I haven't had any spurious charges on my CC from them.

The service was pretty good, but I found not being able to get the movies you wanted when you wanted them a bit of a turn-off.

    • Fair enough — if everyone had had my experience they wouldn't still be going.

    • I had a positive experience from my free-trial also. As long as you cancel a few days in advance and dont wait until the last minute, then you shouldn't have any problems.

i wish i could revoke my positive vote. 4 dvds per month Are you serious. I tried bigpond last time and they had 8 per month. No deal from me.

    • Press the "votes" tab on the far right beneath the title. You should be able to find your vote in the list and undo it.

Thanks Rack, didn't realise. I have updated original deal. Still, I often only watch 1 dvd a week and that's because my flatmate downl… um purchases one. Don't get time to go to video shop, so some people may still benefit!

just because you or whomever downloads movies (or any other file for that matter) doesn't mean you are doing this on illegal terms. There are legal movie download sites.

      • -1

Downloading from any number of sites is legal, or (more often) ambiguous — they've done a good job of making everyone believe that everything they're doing is illegal, when this is not always so.

Also: Sometimes it is more ethical to download something illegally than to financially support a corporation that wishes to manipulate legislation for its own profit, and subvert human rights and human expression. (Leaving aside whatever other socially destructive behaviour they engage in.)

Having said that, there are alot of unethical people who just take because they can, and they're almost as bad as these evil corporations. (Well, perhaps that's a bit harsh.)

well said. I certainly justify stealing stuff from them because they are arseholes :-)

  • Can anyone get the voucher to work??

EDIT: Nevermind my computer was just having a hiccup.

Very hard to cancel with them, you call up and they ask you so many questions.

And if you are one day late on calling them to cancel they will charge you. and even then its still hard to cancel.

    • I cancelled with them and it was easy.

'so many questions' was about 3.

'one day late' they give you two weeks to cancel.

I also got charged $29.95 whilst on what I thought was a 'free trial' and could not get my money back. Would never trust them again.

I cancelled successfully on-line and then rang up cust service to confirm. Even kept an eye out on my credit card charges in the following mth.

Very much enjoyed by last 3 month trial (however it was the 8dvd's per month option. I dont understand how people are having trouble cancelling - its all online…you press a button…bam! Just make sure all the dvds are sent off 3 days before the trial ends. Easy. Fast turnaround, i think its worth giving it a go.

      agreed.
All you have to do is ensure the following to have a successful cancellation:
      1. Return all dvds before the end of the trial account (Give time for delivery & processing!)
      2. Hit the cancel button on your account
      3. You're all done!

It's because these people are intellectually challenged and have only just discovered how to use a computer.
Cancelling was very simple for me also, it's all done online and takes about 1 minute. Those who say otherwise obviously didn't follow the instructions on the website properly.

Cancelled my order last month after a trial and yet I'm continuing to get charged.

    Don't recommend at all.
