Print out this picture for a free craft beer pot, Boags Draught, basic spirit, house wine, or sparkling wine. Received this deal through email directly from Puggs with the title "Free Drink-Just Print".

I've been to Puggs many times and they have had similar free drink deals in the past (mostly drink cards to the first 25 people to respond to email, HappiestHour, etc), no purchase is necessary and never a cover fee. It's usually fairly dead on Fridays so may be a good place for an after work drink or a place to start out for a night out (Lala Lounge, Horse Bazaar is right next door).

      I'm signed up to their email newsletter but I think they recently redesigned their website and haven't put a link up to their newsletter.

    I like the idea of a free beer.
    +1 for that.

    Why on a Friday though?
    Is Pugg's not popular as an end-of-workweek hangout.
    Surely it would have to be pretty full Friday after 5pm.

    Might give this a go in six weeks time when my footy team pays on Friday night ;)

      Not popular on Fridays and Saturdays. Not sure why. There are a bunch of TVs there showing various sports. Good venue if you want to sit at a table, watch sports and have conversation although there tends to be bands on later on at night.

      Biggest night for them is Monday night, International and Backpacker night, $3 pints between 8-10, $4 between 10-12 etc. Very popular with the international students over the past few years. Not sure if they still do this as the pub was sold off from Open Door Company's portfolio (they own James Squire, Geebung, The Exchange) last year.

        Yes, I remember Monday nights :) one of the cheapest nights out. Use to get 7 parmas, a few $3 pints into me, than re ready to hit the sack all for around 20 bucks.

        That play-doh band use to make me sick :p
