Came across this gimbal for the Solo 3dr quadcopter. Very good price for it if you happen to own the ~$1500 drone. Looked on a couple of forums and seems you cant use the gimbal separately or on another type of drone but might be worth a try given the very good price (let me know how you go cause i would be very keen on trying it).

RRP is $400 on videopro's website, also listed for $400 at Harvey Norman.

There are some cheap $50-60 gimbals available on ebay but they are only 2 axis compared to this one which is 3 axis.

  That's a really good price 3DR make quality products. Does this include a gimbal controller?

  This Gimbal has two cables coming out from memory, one HDMI from the Gopro and the control cable for the gimbal, which is controlled when you use the 3DR remote.
  I highly doubt this would be compatible with any other drone as they made it specifically for the 3DR Solo with a Go Pro.

    Yes from what i read it doesnt look compatible with other drones unfortunately.

    I dont think so. Been looking around this seems to be a pretty good option to handmount. Its programable so you can change the settings and sensitivity of the gimbal. Can even easily put a joystick onto it. Great price too, but unknown brand.
