This item is out of stock.

    • I could add it to the cart and check out as guest.

      • Can't add it to cart and not logged in so guess out of stock. Are these better than electric underlays? Are there any good deals out there on electric blankets?

      • Hmm, is failing for me in chrome. Works on my phone though.

  • Thanks got one. Free delivery

I don't think laying on wool is going to get you any warmer than laying on a mattress … but it probably feels nicer to lay on.

    • +5

Ask someone who has one…. they are great. Get a quality one though. Warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

      • +2

Agreed, IMHO there is no better insulator than wool…be it blankets, thermals, uggies or underblankies! :)

        • How bout electric blanket?

        • +2

@fm: I'm sorry, it's Sunday morning, and I had a few beers last night…that's not a serious question, is it???

        • +1

@fm: How about an electric snuggie?

        • @muncan: ahh you mean the old death trap lol

        • @Regie69: your corpse will look fabulous

        • +2

          @muncan:

How bout an inflatable doll with built in warmer ?

        • @StewBalls: lol it is actually…

        • +4

@StewBalls: my friend said her wool underlay smell, and it's not easy to wash… So she thinks electric blanket is better…

        • @fm:
So an electric blanket is easier to wash?

        • +1

@yessum: yep it's machine washable. Not kidding

        • @fm:

Mines machine washable but I spent more than 50.

It is when the machine is doing it @fm

        • @fm:
… "my friend said her wool underlay smell, and it's not easy to wash"
Cat probably pissed on it? … but I will take your expert advice and get rid of ours immediately!! !! facepalm !!

Warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

Could you please elaborate on that ? Im interesting to know more about the "cooler in summer" part.

        • Like fm, you need to go look up exactly what the word 'insulation' means…

        • @StewBalls: Means it doesn't conduct heat away. Not sure how that makes it cooler in summer though.

        • @lostn: Keep researching…

Wife never used one till she meet me now she wouldn't sleep without it now. Don't skimp

      • +1

So you are saying, before she doesn't sleep, but now she does?

        Poor you…

  • -2

Wouldn't a $50 electric blanket do a better job of keeping you warm?

  • +1

No Stock Online & also Click & Collect…

  • wool doesn't burn so much safer than electric blankets or heaters which often cause house fires and kill people in winter.

  • Just ordered a double on a whim, thanks for posting.

  • Bit of wooly muff never goes astray

  • Can I come instore and buy with that price ( king $129)?

    • I tried and NO they can't match their own online price instore

  • Anyone knows whether the backing is polyester?

  • +1

These are available for cheaper at Kmart/Big W. Is there any indication that this one is actually better (note: Myer charging more for it before dropping the price does not = necessarily better).

    • Myer will always be better quality than Kmart or big w

  • Is this fitted?
My bed is getting thicker…fitted sheet, mattress protector, elec blanket …

    • +1

      Fully

      Features:
      • Stretch skirt fits firmly around the mattress

      • Sorry didn't see it on the mobile site some how…

      • Stretch skirt fits firmly around the mattress

Sounds like some of the muffin tops at work… :P

  • No king size left

  • machine washable or just dry clean?

  • no queen left :(

    • Went with a QS one from that deal, thanks!

    • FWIW the Myer HOUSE & GARDEN Wool Underblanket
claims to be 585gsm while the Jason is likely 550gsm

    • +3

Australian wool, but country of origin: China.
I don't like the idea. Not for me.
Anyway, too late for Myer. Out of stock :-(

  • What are the dimensions of the double?

    • +1

      Google tells me;

King Single size 106 cm x 203 cm
      Double Size 137 cm x 187 cm
      Queen Size 153 cm x 203 cm
      King Size 183 cm x 203 cm

  • Could someone enlighten me how to use this?
Are you supposed to sleep directly on top of it (if so i could imagine the filth that accumulates overtime)? Or you need some sheet or protector on top of it?

    • +10

I get naked and wrap it around myself then run around town pretending to be a sheep shouting baaa baaa!

At night time I have it directly on my mattress with my fitted bed sheet over the top of it. Works well for both uses.

    • Might be itchy if you slept ontop of it. You are suppose to put a sheet on top of it.

  • Available from the Myer eBay store with free shipping !

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/231941215869?lpid=107&chn=ps

    • As of now it's double only.

  • What should I get?

I sleep between a fitted and a flat sheet. Both sheets are really cold as soon as I get in, but once I've warmed the bed, it's fine. My blankets and quilt provide enough warmth. The hard part is getting in. Kind of like sitting on a leather sofa in the winter.

If I add more blankets it will be too hot once I've settled.

If I just get a wool underblanket, the flat sheet will still feel cold.

I'm considering electric, but not sure if it should be an electric blanket or electric fitted sheet. I do not like the feel of wires underneath me. I'd only be turning it on for a few minutes before bed then turning it off. It would be to warm my cold sheets so that it's comfortable right away instead of needing to snuggle up into a ball.

I have tried egyptian flannelette sheets before but they are just as cold as cotton. I can't find pure flannel.

    • Add a towel type material lining to the inside of your quilt/blanket. Always feels warm.

Try it just with a large bath towel or something and see how you like it.

      • The towel will come loose due to unconscious movements during your sleep. Unless it's a massive towel. You can't reliably keep it on you.

  • Went in store today to check it out, as well as their brand of wool blankets.

Not that great in my opinion.

    • -1

      What's better in your opinion?

      • +1

        Not buying it.

        • I meant do you have another brand in mind that's 'great' by your standard?
