Picked this exact model up from Woolies last week ($14.98) on Clearance and it's a steal. Easy to clean and use, comes with two BPA free containers and nice minimal design. Bargain.

    • Does it puree? I have been having some green smoothie from cafe lately. Their commercial blender puree the veggie which makes it taste good. My blender at home can't do it. End up veggie juice with crushed fibre at the bottom

      • What I want to know is if it can it puree a hand

  • +1

Maybe if you tweak it you can send more voltage and or amps to the engine and it will blend better. Tim the tool man style!

  • How can it not be "good" compared to NutriBullet? It's a blender. Surely they both blend?

    • Check out the blade in the picture

      also 300w

How can one knife not be as good as another knife? Surely they both cut!

      • -5

A knife is used by a human being to do tasks that require some finesse.

A blender is a machine that bashes food against a sharp edge using an electric motor with no finesse whatsoever until it's your desired consistency.

How can a Prius not be "good" compared to a Ferrari LaFerrari? It's a car. Surely they both drive?

      • -5

One blender pretty much purees the same as any other, sorry, there isn't a Ferrari of blenders.

        • There is a Ferrari for everything idiot - Thats why they have different models with different specs

        • +3

Thermomix would be the closest to the Ferrari of blenders… Well definitely the price tag

        • @captobvious: vitamix is the ferrari of blenders. Thermomix whole different kettle of fish.

        • +1

@paizuri: Thermomix is the Ferrari of WMDs…

        • @paizuri:
          A Thermomix isn't a kettle!

  • How long is the warranty?

    • +16

      Its 5 bucks..

      • +18

Buy a 2nd one, thats your extended warranty right there

        • It's probably better to buy two cars than one car and insurance every year for a decade or two.

  • +2

Since it's the price of a smoothie and would probably end up in landfill anyway it's worth it. I've never, ever had a reliable blender. Even the expensive ones suck (e.g. seals break).

    • +1

Unfair to say that. I have been using my Blitz2go by kambrooks for over 2 years now. These little smoothie makers are great and easy to clean.

5 dollars is an absolute bargain.

  • jesus 5 bucks thats an absolute steal

  • +1

    What volume is the container?

    edit: 2x600mL

  • +1

any one else end up picking some up?

  • Is the price nationwide?

  • Cheap enough just to smash it in a shopping centre rage!

    • Do it outside the apple store

  • one things for sure - it ain't no nutribullet

  • Are these avaialble at WA??

    • Coming up as $39 at Joondalup WA store.

  • Scanning as $39 at Doncaster VIC

  • Not in stock anymore. Confirmed with this store. They have the blue ome which is from a new stock and is full priced!

  • +1

    39$ in NSW

Scanning $39 for us. Had a look at the display unit, feels cheap and poorly made. Would not pay more than $5 for it.

Why is there no apparent love for stick blenders? They run at up to 14,000 rpm, blend very well in any container, theres no seals to die and they sell for under $20.

    • I agree. Truth be told, our stick blender gets far more use than our glass jug unit (which is a total PITA to clean).

The other thing stick blenders do very well is that you can put them in your stockpot directly to puree homemade soups.

    • They have different purpose. Sticks can't break ice

    • Marketing dollars are all directed at the new thing.

  • Woolworths has them for $15.98 on clearance . Not as good as $5 but still a good price.
