Hi everyone,
EDIT: ISSUE SOLVED THANKS GUYS!
Just one question regarding bus lanes.
So here is the scenario.
This occurred at about 5.40pm Friday.
The road is 3 lanes wide, with the left lane being a BUS LANE(3pm-7pm and other hours it is regular lane). I was in the middle lane. I was, more or less, 20 metres away from a sign that said BUS LANE END, so I indicated left, moved into the left lane and then proceeded to go straight to the traffic lights where it was red, and then indicate left to turn at the traffic lights.
Note: there was a left turn just before the traffic lights into a quiet street.
When I moved past the sign, I could see 3 cops in uniform; obviously there to catch offenders who go into the bus lane.
I didn't see them react when I went past, although it's possible they just had a camera or something to scan my number plate?
My question is, if I'll be fined for this?
I moved into the bus lane before it ended but it was only about 20 metres, and I believe there is a 100m limit to how far you can move into a bus lane before doing a left turn? Also, it is also possible that the distance between where I moved into the left lane and the traffic lights was slightly more than 100 metres.
Extra information if you're around the Ryde area; this was at the Victoria Rd intersection with Marsden Rd. (The Comfort Inn, if anyone is familiar)
Thanks for help everyone!
Ahh…no, I was one of the 3 cops in uniform. We were just on our way to get a coffee.
