Lots of CDs for sale at JB Hi-Fi, with a good range. There's some pretty recent albums for $4.99 including Florence and the Machine's newest album. Picked up 6 albums for just over $30 (had to get one delivered since they didn't have stock nearby).

Then you'll be shocked to hear they still sell Newly made vinyl too.
What..
Yep. Also take a look at this cool new Vinyl tech.
Holograms pressed into the vinyl which is visible from a certain angle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLuvkcV2oi4If I am going to purchase physical media then I'll get vinyl. Vinyl holds it's value (and can increase in value if it's rare or limited edition).
I feel CDs are more gratifying to own than digital downloads. But I do agree we could do without them, they are a hassle and these days the sound quality of CDs is often lower than digital downloads.
I don't get why you're getting negged so much, totally agree. Don't even have anything around that can play cds anymore other than my computer, PS4 and the car entertainment system…
Probably because the sound quality of a CD is definitely not lower than a digital download…
Ahhh i see now… Mp3s I agree but not .flac files
Thanks OP, we will be down to our local JB in the morning to search their racks of CD's.
For our part, we love to own a physical copy of the music, not just a digital version. Same with our movies, we want the actual Blu Ray disc, just getting that through streaming feels lesser somehow (Specially seeing as our broadband is down copper with a top speed of 600k per second if we are lucky). Maybe that is part of us being in our mid 50's :-) (Old timers)
Loved being able to buy CD singles too, but times move on (Leaving some of us behind).Absolutely, I much prefer buying CDs - feels like I'm missing out otherwise… Which is sort of weird since I'm really buying it for the music, and the CD itself costs a few cents.
Well you are missing out on one element when you buy digital. You can't leave them behind to someone when you die like a CD

hehe, not quite 50's here ;) but i understand the sentiment perfectly. while i rip my cd's anyway i still love having the tangible product in my hand. the artwork, lyrics [if they bother anymore], placing the cd in the player. i get dismayed when a new release is only available in lossy digital format, though fortunately more online sites do seem to be offering flac/wav files now. also agree with cd singles - they do still exist but are rare items indeed.
i think it stems from growing up with purchasing vinyl - that warm fuzzy feeling when you first take out the record and play it and hold the cover in your hands.
Thanks OP! Was so happy a CD i always wanted to get was on the list!
$10 Cold Chisel CDs but not the first one, it's the only one I have the occasional urge to hear.
$4.99 is a great price for cd's and there are some relatively recent ones in the list.
they were from $3.99 on 'wicked wednesday'. i bought that new Florence cd [deluxe version no less] for $3.79 with the extra 5% off.
bought five cd's all up - a mix of the cheapies and 20% off full price. used a $50 ecard i had so ended up being $4 all up with postage.
happy with that!Wish I'd noticed these on Wicked Wednesday.
I ended up buying nothing :(Yep couldn't believe it when I got Halsey for $3.79 on Wednesday, Bargain :)
What are CDs? I don't think my devices play a CD anymore (includes my PS4). Haha
My brand new car doesn't even have a cd player haha
I am surprise CDs are still around.
