Hi Guys
On 29 May I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S7 Dual SIM from Kogan eBay with the 20% discount and I am surprise to receive it today. I thought it might take another two weeks to arrive.
On the box there is a seal which states "Do Not Accept If Seal is Broken"" and guess what the seal was already broken.
In the box there is a "Samsung" Asian power adapter and in a separate box there is a "Sansai" Australian power adapter.
When turn on the phone everything is in Chinese. Just need to look for the options in setting to change it back to English.
There are 2 folders which I am not sure if it automatically comes with the phone:
1. Chinese character folder with Instantgram and WhatsApp already installed
2. Microsoft Office folder with some Chinese characters.
I downloaded 360 Security and ran Clean and Antivirus.
The Antivirus reported "Caution 2 issues found". I got it to be repaired.
The model I received is SM-G930FD. This is my first Android phone. There is no physical damage I can see on the phone.
Should i be worried about this phone? To return it? Something I can install to check the phone apps?
Thanks.
A broken seal is somewhat common on Kogan phones. Considering Kogan sources phones from where ever he can get them, their response that it's for QA purposes kind of makes sense.
Either way if the phone is in 100% condition cosmetically and functionality I wouldn't worry. This is the risk you take for Kogan prices.
