What are the 'MM' versions ???

    • (suitable for) Managed Machine with UniDesk. Not sure why i answered. You were never gonna +Vote or buy.

      • You were never gonna +Vote or buy.

You are wrong. My 365 subscription expires later in the year… Always looking for a cheap renewal to keep it going… Not going to wait until the last minute and pay full price…

        • So you bought, but no +vote?

          Pattern confirmed.

        • @Utopian:

          So you bought

Nope, didn't end up buying… will have to wait to the next '$20 off' offer… :(

        • @Utopian:

          but no +vote?
          Pattern confirmed.

It appears I have upvoted more deals than you have, so I have no idea what your problem is…

        • @jv: So as i first said. No +, no purchase. No need for all this OT.

You've made 15% less votes, considering how long you've been here. My 9.7/week vs your 8.3/week.

You're known for being critical of deals. Clear observation. Not my "problem", as you projected.

          Why so serious?

        • @Utopian:

          You've made 15% less votes

          You've voted 2842 times.
          I've voted 3264 times.

That makes it 15% more votes, but lets not let facts get in the way of a good story…

        • @jv:…and… you've been here longer. So you're voting less than i am. So again, your 'point' is wrong. How can you struggle with basic maths?? Deliberate distraction from the original fact.

        • @Utopian:

So again, your 'point' is wrong.

Read my comments above more carefully, you will see that they are all fact…

How can you struggle with basic maths?? Deliberate distraction from the original fact.

          I stated :

"It appears I have upvoted more deals than you have"

          Which is a fact

          you've been here longer.

That has nothing to do with my statement… It is a 'Deliberate distraction from the original fact.'

        • @jv: Still missing the original points & facts… My own… Where it started.

Your waffle after that is your own.

          But please, carry on (again).

        • @Utopian:

Still missing the original points & facts…

Then just re-read the comments… No point in me repeating them…

        • @jv: Stop being a creep. I answered your question. Said you weren't going to buy or +vote. You didn't buy, or +vote.

It ended there. Quit stalking me.

  • Re MS office 365, I just had a live chat with Lenovo and they said they do not sell software without a machine purchase…

    • seems to be working when you add it to your cart…

    • I just tried and it worked

      • I just ordered, and received the order confirmation. Check out seemed a little funny though, chose PayPal Checkout but still had to go through the normal checkout process anyway. And took a couple of minutes before the confirmation email came through too

        • Did you get a tax invoice from them with an Australian ABN so you can claim $20 cashback from Microsoft (this is one of the conditions)?

        • @ShootingStar3388: I got a tax invoice with an Australian ABN, going to submit it to Microsoft today and will see what comes back.

      • yes, it works when you add it to the cart with the coupon but I wanted to check with their live chat to ensure you get a tax invoice with an Australian ABN so you can make the $20 claim with MS, once they said they didnt sell software standalone I gave up…

  • can anyone share what happens if you try to add this code to an existing office 365 home subscription? (home = 5 x pc installs rather than 1 x pc install for personal)

    • +4

      This takes you to this

      • thanks for that, that's how I originally converted my free office 365 personal to home ;)

now i'm wondering if I add a personal code to my home code, does it stack? does it extend the home subscription by another 12 months?

        • +1

You obviously did not click through the link…

Edit: First line of the linked article says:

If you already have an Office 365 Home subscription and receive an Office 365 Personal subscription with a new PC or other device, you can now convert that Personal subscription to 9 additional months for your Home subscription.

        • I have now :)

      • +1

Interesting… given the Microsoft $20 cashback, it would make sense to purchase the Personal (1PC) subscription and add it to an existing Home (5PC) subscription.

Let's compare over a term of three years:

Home subscription requires 3 codes (12 months per code) at $51.40 each after cashback = $154.20

Personal subscription requires 4 codes (9 months per code) at $33.40 each after cashback = $133.60

So assuming you have already got a Home subscription to add on to, it would make sense to buy the Personal codes. Not too shabby at $133.60 for a three year extension given the full price is $119 for one year.

Then there's also 8% Cashrewards, but I haven't factored that in.

    Is Monitor good value?

    • +3

Only if you want to see what you're typing…

  • Sorry, now in system maintenance.
    Welcome to come back later.

  • How do you get Microsoft Office for $33 as the title suggests?

    • Microsoft Office 365 Personal Activation Card - 1-year Subscription 1 PC is $89.00, applying 40% discount makes it $53.40. After Microsoft's $20 cashback, you get $33.40.

      • +1

        thankyou

    • This was supposed to be a reply to @nikkirose.

  • With 5pc subscription, how does it work? I mean i have 2 pc. What happens to the rest? Do they expire after a year as well?

    • +1

      Yes, they do.

  • +2

Does anyone know if the Office activation cards (not Office 365) can be used for Macs as well as PCs?

    • I'd like to know that too. Might have to wait till monday to get an answer as lenovo customer care only seems to be active during weekdays.

      • +1

Microsoft office 365 "personal" comes for both always.

        Bought one just from officeworks.

      • Offer ends tonight.

        • Perfect, cheers!

      • I chatted with Microsoft today, and they confirmed that Office 365 is interchangeable between PC and Mac. If you are buying the program outright, i.e. the non-365/subscription version, they are linked either to PC or Mac.

  • Seeing it is only $33.40, can I get say two and extend my subscription by 24 months?

  • just received this email:

    Hi There,

Thank you for placing an order with Lenovo.

I have tried to contact you regarding your Lenovo order for Microsoft Office, Unfortunately we have been informed that >we are unable to deliver these items to you have they have been damaged by water whilst in transit.

Please let me know if you are happy to go ahead with a replacement and I will organise this for you.

I apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

    Kind Regards,

and have just gotten off the phone, apparently DHL drowned about 10 of these things
these come from microsoft and as Lenovo don't keep records, they can't just email the subscription code, so a replacement - sent from hong kong, no less - is on the way…

    • I received the same exact email. Is has been a month since we have placed an order and yet received it.

  • received my subscription package yesterday, took me a while to figure out how to extend my current subscription so fwiw office.com/setup sign in and enter the key and then choose to extend your current subscription
