eBay has a tonne of cheap phone car mounts from $2 and I was just wondering if you have had any personal experience with any of them. I don't exactly want to be wasting money on a car mount that breaks after a week or so.

Just buy a good one, mines lasted 4 years so far.
Where are the good ones fruit? kmart and target ones broke in a few days for me. I am not sure if that is because i always take it off when parked to prevent break-ins. Maybe would last longer if not touched after installation.
I bought one from officeworks that cost me $35. Still going strong after 3.5 years. My dad's one has served him for 5 years in three different cars.

I bought one from banggood last year and it didnt work out of the box; needless to say my email to support has also remained unanswered to this day;
I reckon you could get a good one from Harvey Norman on clearance - should last for some time
I have mine from ebay for few months now, and loving it. Works perfect, really firm. so I would go with ebay, just make sure you choose the one with good design.

dont get the airframe style ones. they dont hold onto the vents very well.
if i was to get another vent one it would need to have a clip to tighten on the vent.
The best ones are usually the ones that clip onto your vent. They last longer than suction ones.
