G502 vs G602 vs G900 for Work/Study and Casual Gaming

Hi there,

Was looking through some threads and didn't seem to find any on this topic so far.

So was hoping to see what everyone's opinion is on the G502 vs G600 vs G900 being used more for daily use (writing, work, browsing) and some casual gaming here and there.

I currently use a Razer Orochi and find them to be a bit too small to be used over long periods of time.

So I'm kind of undecided on whether to still keep the Orochi for travelling since its wireless and get the G502 for my daily driver.

Perhaps replace the need for the Orochi completely with the G900 and use that as my daily driver as well.

I like the shape of the G502 as it seems to contour better with the thumb rest for right-handers and I'm worried that the G900's shape is way too similar to the Orochi which may put me off using it (although the G900 is obviously bigger).

Alternatively, I think the G602 is the in between option out of the three but can't really find any good prices on them at the moment.

If you're happy with wired, you can't look past the G502, is the best mouse available imo.
I've also used the G602 (now sold) and the G700s (still have) and I've gone back to the G502 everytime. Love it that much I bought another one with the recent deal so I have a backup. lol

I have small hands, use a palm grip and I find the G500 very comfortable.

(G500 is basically the pre-decessor of the G500s, which then was replaced by G502).

And yes there are different types of mice for people who use different ways to hold a mouse. The G502 is for people who use palm / claw grips. The Orochi is a small mouse made for people who use finger tip grips.

I'm using the G602 at the moment, and I have no complaints with it. Being wireless and a gaming mouse, leaving it in eco-mode makes the battery last ~9-12 months per set. It did take a slight amount of time getting used to the larger grip, but once I got used to it, it feels pretty comfortable. I do also sometimes hit the side buttons as well, but that is pretty rare these days. I'd recommend it, but I can't really say how good it is compared to the others though.

I just bought my G502 yesterday from the eBay Group Deals.

Currently I've been using the G9x which has stayed with me for years, however deteriorated greatly due to playing Diablo 3. The left click is less responsive (someone doesn't click, or clicks twice).

I will give a recommendation once I take it for a spin this weekend.

    • Good mouse I'd have to say, very comfortable, slightly better than my G9x.

Only problem is that it has too many buttons which can annoy some people, in particular the 'sniper' button which is just in and out of your thumb's reach which can really irritate people with longer fingers.

It also has a very gaming look, so it can be a pro or con depending on the type of person you are. I think it looks a little gimmicky, but it will have to do.

      • Don't know who neg'd you.

Made great points! Thanks for getting back to us on that!

My current issue with the current crop of gaming mice :/

    502 is great.

  • g700s rocks, they nailed the no lag wireless with this mouse, its also bigger than other mices in lg range, has plenty of buttons and is awesome, if you want a big mouse you have to try the microsoft sidewinder bluetooth mouse, if you can find it

  • Just wanted to update everyone, been using the G502 for months now and loving it!

I reckon most of the Logitech range is a great choice, but for the price and promotion at that time I couldn't go wrong with the G502 for my desktop PC setup.
