Hello Ozbargainers, Big Chief here,

I have been holding back on our 50% 40g bags as it takes us away from wholesale and events but I know everyone loves it. But it is now time to share the love once again.

Once this deal is finished I won’t be having one for some time as we have some big events and new wholesale customers that need our full attention. LIKE US UP when I am working on the next deal before Christmas I will make sure we throw a free sample in of our new flavour I have been working on.

THE DEAL- 50% of all 40g bags and all flavours. Code word is ""bazinga"" *this does not include our already discounted variety packs and is limited to 30 bags per order.

We feel this will be the best way for people to try our product and by offering it so cheap you can try ALL 8 flavours at half price.

Please read our Important message down below as I don't want to disappoint anyone

All of our products are high in protein-no artificial colours, no artificial flavours or preservatives.

POST RATES are

  • 500g bags- $8.25 We can fit 10 x 40g bags in this one.
  • 3kg bags- $13.40 – we can fit 30 x 40g bags into this bag due to the size of the jerky bags.

IMPORTANT below is a guideline so no one is disappointed.

  1. Don’t select PICKUP if you can’t pick it up from our Mitchelton store in Brisbane. If you select it by mistake we will contact you with procedures on how to pay for pickup.
  2. If you are picking up please be aware we will contact you when your order is ready to collect. During sales all stock is allocated and cooked fresh so you can’t just come in and collect without our notification.
  3. This is an online deal only.
  4. Once payment is cleared we try to send your jerky asap. As this is a massive deal and our jerky is cooked fresh (not stockpiled) I am expecting some people will be waiting up to three weeks for order but be patient as we will work tirelessly to get all orders out asap. We send out according to who orders first and also location.
  5. If the timeframe has passed and you want to check on your order please email [email protected] with your order number, payment method and name to make it easy for us to follow up.
  6. There is a limit of 30 x 40g bags per order-The reason we do this is so we can get all orders out in a timely fashion.

    Geronimo's proving that they have the worst service in Australia.

    Ordered 18 packs to share with the Family on 6th June.
    Emailed after roughly 2 weeks later (June 24th) to just check up on the order status.

    They send me an email saying my order is ready to be sent.

    "Hi Simon,

    Your order is in the packing room ready to be packed and sent. Due to the number of orders we do ask to allow up to three working weeks for it to be sent. You will receive a tracking number once it has been sent.
    I am sorry for the delay, we are working hard to get them all out in a timely manner."

    Then I had to learn about their equipment fault THROUGH AN EMAIL FROM AN OZBARGAINER.
    Still not sure why this is a problem though if my order was packed and ready to be sent?
    Unless these scumbags are lying to their customers, I don't see any other reason.

    July 12th, still no jerky.

    Off to Paypal I go.

      My order is also "set to leave tomorrow morning", after I raised the Paypal Dispute as well. Let see if we will all get our tracking numbers "tomorrow".

        I too got that email and then they "completed" my order.
        Not sure if that means anything but I do suspect they are pulling something fishy so we can't do a paypal dispute.

        • Yes. I am a little suspicious about that "order complete" email too. Does that mean they have fulfilled their obligation and that we can't dispute it with Paypal?
          How are we meant to escalate this? I just want my money back now.

          A friend who did receive his order said he got the order complete email a day before the Auspost shipping info came through, however I got my order complete email two days ago. Not looking good.

    After sending a 'where's my jerky' email I was told my jerky would be sent last Friday. Still no tracking number or jerky. I smell a company going broke.

    To be honest at this point in time even if they send my order i don't want it no apology no compensation and poor customer service hopefully paypal gets my money back

    I ordered June 8 hoping that my ration of jerky would have arrived within 2 - 3 weeks. My 18 month old adores jerky, to the point where some days it's all she'll eat. We've tried feeding her other brands but she knows and just spits it out. It's been 4 weeks and we ran out of our stock of Geronimo's Flamin' Arrow just over a week ago. At this point my daughter hasn't eaten anything besides water, chewing gum and the occasional halal snack pack. Can we get an update on the expected time-frame to get all orders out the door?

    I'm torn - I agree their communication and handling of this delay has been atrocious… but I love their jerky so much and don't want to see them disappear from here!

  • I was told on Wednesday that my order was set to leave on Thursday and that I would receive the shipping details once scanned it. It's Saturday and still nothing.

    • Try clicking "Track your delivery" (red paragraph) in that email. I did, and it's shown as picked up from sender and in transit.

      • I got the message via Paypal (dispute). I've tried getting onto their website to check my order status but it seems down.

        I think I will escalate my dispute. They're taking the piss now.

      Yay! Finally I got a tracking number from Australia Post. I think it's on its way.
      I also got the "order will be sent next day" email on Wed. I waited and got nothing on Thursday. Then by Friday night, I received my email from Austpost.

        You know, if they had been up front, informed us of the issues without having to chase them up for an explanation and didn't bullshit, I think most people would have been happy enough. It really is another level of crappy customer service.

          100% things go wrong shit breaks etc its inevitable however a straight up email to all customers affected a simple 1 of reply with like a weekly update on here and nobody would of cared at all and to smooth things over

          "Here at geronimo jerky we appreciate your support as a token of good will we have added xx extra packets into your order we apologize for the delay"

          Boom problem solved nobody cares everyone wins everyone is happy

          Instead complete silence mess around and a big F u to customers

    Got a reply saying it would be dispatched last Wednesday. Still nothing. Very disappointed :(

    • Same, and on that Wednesday I then received an email saying the order was complete. I'd be absolutely convinced I'm not going to receive anything if not for the fact that a friend got his two weeks ago.

  • When I emailed them yesterday about my order, they finally sent an email about the package and tracking number today. Lets hope this arrives in a decent amount of time… Fishy thing is, they didn't even bother answering my email.

  • Haven't replied to either of my 2 emails (3 weeks and 4 weeks).

    Have now lodged a Paypal dispute, much to my despair, as I don't want to be strongarming anyone over jerky but if they won't communicate its the only avenue people have left.

    As others have said, a simple explanation on day 1 of the problem would have resolved this issue, instead I'm getting Kickstarter disappearing act vibes from this whole situation.

    Finally received my jerky… not impressed at all. There is absolutely no flavour to the original, and the texture is awful. I know jerky is chewy (which I like) however the packets I received are practically inedible they are like chewing rubber! Never again. Awful

    Received my order this morning, finally, after having to go through PayPal to get it going. No bonus packs, no discount codes, no greeting or apology notes. Considering I've ordered from them numerous times and each time over $100. They've definitely lost my business.

      • I put in the paypal dispute 7 days ago before receiving any tracking information and yes im going to try to get a refund because i didn't order jerky under the impression i would be waiting 6 weeks to receive it i might of been a bit more understanding had they not ignored emails and given no notice apology or compensation for errors on there behalf

  • My order finally arrived today (WA Metro), 30 x 40g bags exactly, no note of explanation, nothing extra

    I've been a return customer multiple times, each time over $100

    All I can say is that I'm disappointed and I won't be purchasing again or referring anyone anymore

        SOOOO brittle… has the meat been cut too thin? So disappointed. Flavour is still there on sidewinder, tried spicy shaman for the first time and barely any flavour. But the texture is just not right or as enjoyable :(

  • Got mine (originally ordered 7th June). After many emails back and forth, my packaged being 'returned', I've finally received my order. Only problem is I bought 30 packets and I'm 10 packets short!!! Not sure what is going on over at Geronimo. Very disappointed because I love/d their jerky. Seriously hoping there is another package on it's way…

    • I paid via Paypal and even though they marked my package as sent they put in the wrong delivery address!

      I'm sitting here wondering WTF is going on over there since Paypal literally hands you the correct address (that has been saved for hundreds of purchases for years in my paypal account).

    Finally received my order after multiple emails. Very disappointed, the jerky is so thin and inconsistent. Super brittle it just crumbles into powder in your mouth and some pieces are tasteless. I think this will be my last order from geronimo, after many orders and always willing to give you guys a chance to support your business, I'm out. An apology letter with the package would have gone a long way, but the quality drop is the nail in the coffin!

      Yeah seriously this is horrible jerky. I went to the trouble of re-routing the package they incorrectly sent and honestly regret doing so.

      It is so thin, so flavourless and so tough its really not worth eating.

      I feel like anyone who raised disputes has basically been sabotaged with super-low quality jerky, it is so far below the usual standard.

    7 weeks late and the sidewinder has no bite at all, my kids could eat it. It's also so paper thin it's see-through. I expect this was to cut down on drying time to get it out faster but it's not the quality I have had in the past and expected again. I still have 8 x 40g bags and am not really looking forward to eating them.

    My last order for sure, time to get out my dehydrator and make my own again

      • I submitted a PayPal dispute (for a refund) for the 10 bags that were missing from my order after I didn't get a reply to my 2 follow up emails about the missing jerky… I got a response via PayPal and a tracking number but still waiting for the package. :-/

  • Received my order today. It's been a LONG wait, but I'm glad it finally arrived. Looks a bit thinner than the previous batch, but that's ok. Given the problems with this order, I'll definitely try making my own now.

  • Grabbed mine from the Post Office today, as nobody was at home to sign for it yesterday. I ordered on the 7th of June, received it almost exactly two months later.

    This is my first time ordering. The flavour (have tried Pow Wow and Spicy Shaman) so far is okay - Spicy Shaman is nicer imo, but Pow Wow is super thin/brittle, and both of them take a lot of effort to eat/chew. The only jerky I've had before is rougan (Asian style) and supermarket (Jack Link's etc) so I was a bit surprised that these were so tough.

    Not a huge fan, even though the flavour is nice/okay, and I definitely won't be ordering from them again, especially given the amount of time it took for the company to deliver the goods.

    IMHO this batch was a real rush job, and the results unfortunately speak for themselves - it was tough, brittle, flavour all over the shop etc., basically just nowhere near the quality levels that we've all seen previously!

    Massively disappointed, and I have in the past referred several people to buy as well, not anymore

    • So won't be buying again …unless they do a $2/packet sale to make up for it all ;)

  • I was wondering when the chief would do a sale again and stumbled on this thread (I last purchased in March 2016). It's a shame this has all happened. Hopefully he continues to operate as I do love the product.

    • If he continues to operate but the quality of the product is the same as the last two batches I've ordered, is there much point? The more packets I've tried from this batch the worse they are getting. Most are going straight into the bin after trying them.
      Not sure why anyone would want to take a chance on this stuff unless there is some very strong communication from the owner and he offers some kind of guarantee the quality has improved. Short of him sending out a free pack to demonstrate this, I can't say I will ever order again.
