FAT32
Macs can only write to FAT, so that's probably your best option.
It sucks in that the file size is limited to 4GB as opposed to NTSC, but NTSC-formatted drives are read-only on Macs.
NTFS not NTSC ;)
Ack, right. Oops. Clearly been spending too much time with videos…
NTFS is native for OS X now, but you need to enable it in order to read/write

Is it slower then Windows? Have you used it?
@mobius: Go with FAT32.. The 3 major desktop platforms can all read/write from/to it (Linux, Windows and MAC) plus FAT32 is what PS3 detects as well. I guess the biggest disadvantage of FAT32 is that you won't be able to store files bigger than 4GB unless you split them.
When will we see the elusive eSATA version of the Story?
probably never since usb3 is now out
If we receive the USB3 version.
1024M x 2000G / 24M (USB2.0) = 23.7 Hrs, have to spend whole day to copy 2TB data with slow USB2.0 port, i rather buy an USB3.0 or eSATA docking with bare 2TB drive.
uhh Just take the drive out??
but warranty void if take out from enclosure, a WD 2TB bare drive is only $162
I don't think these hard drives are for people like you. People usually use these external USB drives as a backup drive, or to copy data like movies to watch on another computer - not to move 2TB of data every day. You need to spend a bit more and get an esata solution.
Any link for the WD drive kkk?
Where do we get WD 2TB for $162?
@Swiper: Searching on staticice shows you can get WD Green 2tb drives for $162-$169+ postage. If you dont' want a green drive you're looking at $$$.
Exactly what I have been waiting for! Cheers!
What's the best file format for use for both MACs and PCs?
