I need to get to Sri Lanka and back in November from Bris or Gold Coast, and will most likely go OOL-KUL-CMB or OOL-SIN-CMB on Air Asia or Scoot. Being a true Ozbargainer I'm just waiting for a decent sale.
Does anyone have any experience with Air Asia or Scoot sales? How often do they have them, what's a decent % off? They're already the cheapest option. I know AA just had a 20% off sale for their mobile app but dates were wrong for me.

im also holding out for the Scoot B'day sale but it's already 6 of June so getting less optimistic by the day :(
Looks like they cheaped it this year with no birthday sales. Was looking forward to it too :(
search ozb for AA & Scoot, find the highest voted, such as AA's 'Mega' sales, and Scoots birthday or fly return free.
look at the dates of those posts, they tend to repeat a bit.
Look at examples of prices obtained for the routes you want to fly.
Bear in mind it can be cheaper to get the discount flight to KUL/SIN in the sales and fly from there on a different airline. Keep your options open.
I'm hoping Scoot will have their birthday sale which usually happens around 4-6 June.
