I have a 2012 Toyota Prius C which has a built in touchscreen GPS unit. This screen displays a reversing camera, radio & bluetooth as well as a GPS system using whereis.

There is also an SD card which I would assume allows for the GPS to be updated. When I asked Toyota about getting the maps updated they asked around and advised that they think it costs around $300 for a new SD card which gets shipped from their head office.
Can anyone advise if there is an option where I can download the data myself and simply insert my own SD card? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thank you
Did you get your answer for this? I really want to updates maps too but haven't had much luck and only option to consider now is to replace the unit with a third party one
