Exactly how many notebooks can use a 512MB sodimm? This RAM is only suitable for older devices, most of which either have only memory slot, or are limited to 2GB total.
It's being given away because its otherwise unsaleable.
Picked one of these up from DSE on clearance a few weeks ago for a dollar. Seems that no-one wants 512mb anymore…
Free sounds good to me! This will double the RAM in my trusty (and cheap) ex-work Dell notebook. If only their website would stop timing out, so I could order some…
I have one of these and I listed it on eBay… sold for $3 incl. postage but the buyer pulled out so it's still sitting on my desk. If anyone wants to send me $2 I'll mail it to you.

Yeah, when I looked at the page there were < 5 left so I'm sure they were snapped up within minutes. Oh well, I'm in no hurry. If I wait, I guess 1GB SODIMMs will be on sale cheap next and that will take the laptop to 2G instead of 1.5G. Or so I hope. :)
Ahh missed out. I'm using an old notebook to interact with the set top box.
