Harris Scarfe All Clothing 30-50% off, Homewares 40-60% off, Electrical 15-40% off

90

I'm surprised that no one has spotted this deal, Harris Scarfe in my opinion has very good stuff and when there such a discount it's a bargain for sure.
I couldn't buy shoes because they got max size 13 :(
I checked the branch in Epping VIC and they got plenty of great stuff like sport and classic shoes Adidas, Hush Puppies etc. etc., Adidas, Puma, Diadora (and more) sport garments, the list is too long.

Some examples:
Chopping boards half the price http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/kitchen-%26-dining/kitchen-ac…
Cutlery & Sets http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/kitchen-%26-dining/cutlery/c/…
Mens runners http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/sports-clothing-%26-activewea…
Mens activewear http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/sports-clothing-%26-activewea…
AND off course for women too plus much more!

    Heavily inflated rrps

    • -4

You can buy a pair (or more) of good quality Adidas for around $80, Hush Puppies starting around $50 and you call it inflated prices? Why don't you look at the deal?

      • +7

Inflated RRPs (their original prices). E.g. 50% homewares you can see the rrp is much higher than elsewhere hence a 50% off is not truly 50% off

        • -4

It's totally irrelevant AND I don't care about their rrp prices because what you can buy now with the discount it's a bargain.
But if you don't need anything to buy, just leave it and go to $2 shops.

        • +5

          @dealhunt:

if you can find it cheaper elsewhere, it's not a bargain.

adidas breeze cheaper at catch of the day ($60 vs $50):

i'm not really sure how these are great prices. harris scarfe has a "sale" every month or so

        • -5

Your intent here is not for looking for a good deal but for trying very hard to prove it's a fake, are you a competitor?
Have you tried to chose one Adidas pair of shoes from my deal? Answer = NOT!
Have you tried to compare the shoes you can buy from my deal with COTD? Answer = NOT!
Can you find any "quality" Adidas shoes on COTD comparable to the ones from my deal? Answer = NOT!
So what is your main purpose here?

By the way, Harris Scarfe is having a huge discount on the whole stock so my post is still valid because you can go there and buy a whole package of different stuff you wouldn't find anywhere else at this price right now.

I've no deal with this shop and if I had a chance, I would surely delete this post and end the game for the sad losers.

A suggestion to the administrator: please set an option on the forum so people like me can delete a bargain (or Fake) so we end the matter.

@dealhunt: i think you need to calm down and throw away your pitchfork. your overreaction suggests that you seem to be taking this personally, we are not attacking you or your post, we are merely pointing out that it is our OPINION that we do not consider this a bargain.

if you followed the link i posted, the model and brand of shoes are exactly the same.

i'm really not sure why you are so angry and defensive, you suggest we have an ulterior motive, but what about you? calling someone a commie just because they don't agree with you is ridiculous. i'm not seriously saying that you are involved with harris scarfe, just that you are blowing this out of proportion.

What branch in Essendon? I can only see Highpoint and Airport West.

    • -1

Sorry it is the one in Epping.

  • +6

Just looked through the kitchen appliances. No bargains there. Thing's I've been keeping a lookout for are cheaper elsewhere.
eg. Breville stand mixer $399 at HS, or $360 at DJs

    • Harris Scarfe does price matching, any other question?

      • +3

But they'd price match even if there wasn't a sale, so what's your point here?

  • +7

Not sure why my comment is getting negged and not that I care. Only letting people know that HS is ripoff.

Look at their inflated rrp and the huge discount:

    Example: Fila Memory Winstar Runner
    http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/sports-clothing-%26-activewea…
    RRP: $99.95 and now $59.95

The same item on Fila's website:
    RRP: $60
    http://www.fila.com.au/index.wsp/fila?page=product&Cate=MENS…

You are saving a whopping 6 cents lol

Don't fall for them with their false advertising, I can give you many more examples but can't be bothered.

Mod, I want my neg back if the example given satisfies the reason :)

Harris Scarfe is $9 cheaper, what is your point?

      • +2

Too complicated for you, don't worry. Keep the spam going.

        • -4

I call this a personal attack either you are a competitor.
Your example shows that the deal from Harris Scarfe is $9 cheaper so I don't really know what do you want here?
And I'm not spamming dude, clearly this is a personal attack, please if you got nothing better to do…..

While I'd normally agree that there's not much of a bargain to be had at Harris Scarfe and I can't remember the last time I walked past and they weren't having a sale, there do seem to be some not too badly priced items in this sale. They seem to be clearing out some of their Russell Hobbs range, for example, and if you're into that it seems to be cheaper than what it's going for in other stores:
    http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/search?q=russell+hobbs%3Apric…
As mentioned in this other deal, there were (may still be in some stores) some Russell Hobbs toasters for $19.95.

It seems like trolls have left and went working on other deals.

As I said (and it was evident) the deal is on the whole stock so you may find something interesting and on some other things you would pass.
The good point of the deal is that IF you need to buy some stuff, you can go there and spend only 1-2 hours and do everything in one shop.
Harris Scarfe got many well known brands like for example the Fila brand which has been advertised on Ozbargain and I checked some prices are exactly the same as per this deal on Harris Scarfe, the only difference is that the TROLLS this time didn't complain.

This was my first and LAST posted bargain on Ozbargain because I wouldn't expect such an unfriendly and unwelcome feedback (not directed to you).
Next time I find a bargain I'll enjoy myself and leave trolls spend their primate time on Ozbargain.
      Adios!

  • Drove a good 40 minutes to check out my nearest store as I have gotten some homewares from them in the past. At the discounted price I found their Mens wear to about average what you would expect at Target or Big W normally . At their normal price it was very expensive for the quality.

I also had a quick look at their Air Fryers and found a Philips Air Fryer that is normally $199 at Target, to be $219 save $110. It has been listed on OzB for $105 every so often.

Overall I was disappointed in the sale and would be hesitant to go back in the future.

Another turn off was seeing one of the young staff members jumping on an older lady for taking 6 items to try on when they have a 4 item limit. She was pretty cool about this and said she would leave the extra two outside then. His response 'Well I'll just stay outside here with them and keep an eye on them so they don't go missing…'

    • -2

If you compare bigW and Target garments with Harris Scarfe, tells me that you don't understand what you buy.
Surely Harris Scarfe got a "few" racks with stuff they need to eliminate (like any shop does) and that is trash I admit it but I look at the other good stuff there which is comparable to what you find in Mayer (for example).
Regarding the Air Fryers can you find it NOW in Target or on Ozbargain?
And the other point regarding the staff member it doesn't have any relevance with this deal, I have always found good smiles there and I am a very fussy buyer!
