Kinder Chocolate Bars $5 a Box - Usually $32 (Franklins - Springwood NSW)

540

Box of 36 Kinder Chocolate bars for $5. Usual price was $32 a box (or 90c each). Best Before date on bottom of box is may 4th 2010.

I didn't have my camera with me for an in-store shot, hope the picture I provided suffices!

Note: I'm pretty sure these are NOT state wide or advertised as its a clearance of soon to be out of date stock, but if you happen to be in Springwood NSW then pop into Franklins - they had heaps of them but they were up near the checkouts so I expect they will sell within a couple of days!

EDIT: they've sold out as of thursday!

Unless you have a birthday party, to eat 36 Bars in one day …. not my thing

    • You're not going to die eating them, just because the date passes. :) Keep them in the fridge.

      • I would say he was at least half joking. Got me thinking though. It's 17604 kilojoules for the whole box. I'm 60kg and my record for a single day is a little over 16000. A bodybuilder or fat person with a weakness for chocolate could certainly manage it :D

        • Lol.. a bodybuilder wouldn't eat these..

It's a "best before" date, not a "use by" date.

dammit. I was so excited I read this as Frankston - Springvale Vic.

  • Wow, well spotted. Pity it's only that shop. Oh well, should watch my hips anyway, or so I tell myself. :(

  • Awesome deal!

i cant imagine how many people give this a positive considering it is expiring tomorrow…

    • I'd vote for chocolate even if it ran for political office. :)

Just imagining eating it makes me feel better. lol!

    • it says "best before" not "OMG DEFINATELY USE BEFORE" ;)
so what if it's not at it's "best", they're still scrumptious :P

    • It's perfectly fine to eat items past their best before date.

    • Yeah, the best-by date is just an estimate by the manufacturer to cover their a**. If it has been stored in good conditions, it will be fine past the date. Especially for manufactured foods, i.e. the less healthy foods unfortunately. Conversely if it has been stored in poor conditions, it might be no good even before the best-by date.

  • Ahhh too far from CBD =( I think money saved and petrol cost is roughly the same haha

  • I bought one of these boxes for $2 once, from a video store closing down sale. Lasted about a fortnight. :P
