  • How much does shipping cost?

  • $4.95

    • that means that it isn't a freebie?
      It's a 'deal'?

    • Thanks, have added that to the post.

  • But you'd have to order some prints also, no? And if it's a softcover photobook then it could simply be a paperback wallet that the prints are slipped into, which is quite inexpensive.

    • Umm… go take a look. What you're describing is a photo -album- which this is not.

      • The page isn't clear at all. What are you getting with the redemption code? Book and photos free? Or do you have to pay for the photos and the book is free? Presumably postage is not free.

So if the postage is $4.95 and you can put 22 photos in it, that means you are paying about 22c per photo with a book. Given that prints are about 10c, that means you are paying about $2.75 for the book. Which might be a good deal if you want the book, I don't know.

I just don't want to have to spend a lot of time on the site to find these things out.

        • +1

I trust you haven't created a photo book before. You can find these on other sites too, like Big W, etc. The deal is, you actually upload digital copies of your photos to the site, and then using their software, position them onto a page, add borders, graphics, backgrounds, etc.

The whole thing is then printed directly. What you will receive in the mail is an actual book, with your photos printed directly onto the pages, with the styles, layouts and graphics exactly as you designed them.

Hope that explanation helps to clear things up a bit.

          • @zzyss: Ok, but do I still have to pay for the photos? Or is it just the postage of the book I'm up for.

I'm just curious only, because all the people I want to share photos with are online and I email them the photos or point them to Picasa. Less trees and chemicals consumed too.

            • @retiredfeline: No, the photos will actually be printed onto the pages the book itself, not loose. When you are compiling the book, you need to have scanned or digital copies of the photos to be able to use in their designer tool.

End result, you get a 22-page book where the pages are your photos. Guess it wouldn't be much use to you if you do most of your photo exchanging electronically. This is more for people who like to create little physical albums for themselves…
