  • Can anyone comment on this? I'd like to buy a new vacuum cleaner but not sure how this one is for the price.

EDIT: Doesn't seem very good at all - http://www.productreview.com.au/showitem.php?item_id=52905

    • I have been using it for over 2 years now, still going great, bought it then for around 120 (was on special) bucks from Kmart i think; its pretty good; easy to clean, does a nice job on carpets (can use the brushed head or normal plain one). Seems like a good deal to me.

    • Bought this exact model two years ago for $90 from Retravision. I only needed a very basic vacuum cleaner for the one carpeted room in my apartment (the other attachments made it handy for cleaning dust off hard floors, too).

Worked OK for 18 months; the suction was acceptable, but definitely not as good as higher quality vacuums out there. Then the motor stopped working — no idea if that was just bad luck, or if there are reliability issues with this particular model. In any case, it's not the first Kambrook product I've bought that's broken down soon after the warranty has expired; I've now totally sworn off the brand.

    • Poor Suction
    • Noisy
    • Flimsy

Sounds like a negative from me.

    • Great post Kuric - Neg from me based on poor product review.

  • Kambrook = generic brand.

  • It looks identical to a vacum sold at target called a "Seiger". I found the unit to very poor, bad suction etc.

  • Agree, I owned one of these (Kambrook Jaguar) and they are cheap and nasty.
First the wand snapped, then the plastic inside went brittle and broke off where the air filter connects to the vacuum.
Didn't make it past 18 months.

Bought an Electrolux Cyclone XL (ZCX6412) recently … it picks up so much more and seems to be much more soldly built.
A little more expensive than the Kambrook, but it works - managed to pick it up for $220 (floor stock at Harveys)

  • +1

lol had a seiger as well, it worked well when it was new, but over the year, little things began to break down, the wheels on the head fell off, the turning wheel broke off, suction wasn't so great, and seals began to loosen up. Got a dyson, a month or two ago, and its been great so far.

But for $75, i guess its alright, maybe you'll get better mileage. I prefer to pay a bit more, for a product that SHOULD last longer. This throw away society sucks, the old Volta worked well for about 25 years haha!

  • same as diamondtouch got a seiger weak suction and is starting to fall apart had it for around 1year and abit

  • Have this vacuum. Wouldn't recommend it. Poor suction, clogs up, wears out over time.

  • Used to sell them at Myer, one of the worst vacuum around in terms of break down, after the piranha brand

  • This vacuum will be $79 from Thursday at Kmart, if you wanted to save shipping.

But if it is the same as the seiger Target sells, then it is not very good. I have already swapped 2 of them.
