Have been looking for a Sony A5000/6000 camera kit. Planning to use it in August but I realized that the price has been very high since last Christmas. I think HarveyNorman was selling it @ $500/700 for those two models. Anyone knows why they are so expensive now? around $700/1000. Comments are welcomed thanks!

I am tossing up whether the canon m3 with cash back around $500 is worth it
I'd prefer the sony but if I can't get it sub $700 might just grab a canon and wait for supply to pick up and get a6300 when prices make it worth it for me

Agreed. A6000 is overpriced at the moment. Another posibility is Fujifilm X-T10, with CB offer you can easily get a camera body for roughly $500.
Only reason I can think of is because of the change in AUD vs. USD. Just before easter I picked up the A6000 from Harvey Norman + 1 lense for about $800 (the price listed in store was more expensive than the website, but they did it anyway. They also didn't have the camera + lense kit, but gave me the two for the same price anyway). I then got the second lense from Teds Cameras for $175?
EOFY sales should be just around the corner? I also saw a Teds Cameras $50 voucher (on $200+ spend) for completing a survey. Might help?
