Need Some New and Thick or Fluffy Warm Winter Wear (for Home and Going out Clothes)

Basically need to top up my winter collection as "winter is coming" literally tomorrow. I have a beanie and some clothes but more is better.

Main needs: going out jacket and home jumpers (currently only have some slim hoodies and home jumpers). I am good for now in the pants department maybe just need 1-2.

Bonus points for a good decent bath robe and fluffy soft indoor house slippers.

Also looking for an extra blanket but I might just go to woollies or coles for that.

My guesses are big w target and kmart for the rest which is good because they are really the only stores within walking distance besides the local salvation army and good will and St Vincent DePauls.

  • Giving your location would be good.

FYI aldi has had a huge ski gear sale recently. Although the jackets and gloves are the large "boofy" types, there are quite a few gloves/beanies that are compact.

Otherwise I get sleeping gear, thinsulate beanie from target, anything else i go down the camping stores at kent st.

I think you're going to be a little limited in choice. If it were me, i'd travel down to auburn/parramatta for the weekend and get a little retail therapy,

In auburn theres a kathmandu, rays outdoors, aldi and of course, westfield.

If you havent got a car, take the train to townhall and walk down kent st

        • Ah damn that's what I thought. BTW do you know where else I could maybe get some thermals I know Kathmandu probably sells em but probably not very cheaply.

@AlienC: Most camping stores have them, and anaconda should too. google first

You get what you pay for, the cheaper ones are nylone/elastic and the more expensive ones are wool.

        • @AlienC: If you time it right, ie not the start of winter, you can get the lower grade Kathmandu thermals at 3 for the price of 1.

Sadly not too useful to you right now :( But good for perspective on what thermals are "worth"
