This ain't an amazing deal …. telstra was selling this for 390 not to long ago (i think sony website was selling it even cheaper) …. theses are 2 models old

Yeah, there's a good chance he bought it off the Sony Deal recently and looking to make money off it.
Also, the package isn't "sealed" so you can easily open it up to see if it's working when you go pay for it.
At that price, it can be found cheaper but it only pops up now and then. Telstra were selling it for $399 as stated above. And then Sony wanted to get rid of all their stock so sold it at $299 a couple months ago until they all sold out.
They'd be getting rare to find so cheap and brand new now I would think.
I use mine daily as a media player and for games. Love it!
That's almost a "too good to be true" price. Seller could get heaps more selling through eBay.
Things like this on Gumtree make me super wary.
If he's willing to open the box in front of you and show it works, maybe. But it's sealed new? That's convenient.
If it's legit it's a great deal. But it raises quite a few red flags.
