Hi,
Just want some advice thinking about travelling to Tokyo to see the snow and go on a snowboarding adventure. Is this winter?
Also, when do flight sales tend to become available for this time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Sorry I'm looking at the 7day wind jacket lodge package in Hakuba http://ozsnowadventures.com.au/japan/ski-japan-hakuba/
and then hopefully looking at staying at tokyo maybe a couple days after that?
Which month of the snow season where you looking to go? Typically around 17th of Dec to Jan 25th is when flights are expensive. I was in Hakuba from 10th Dec 2014 and snow was good. But I heard Dec 2015 there was not good snowfall. Went to Niseko Jan of this year, would recommend Hakuba > Niseko in terms of price.
Are you going alone or with friends?
I'm not too sure when the snow season is a work colleague told me from dec-feb so maybe some time in Feb 2017?
Planning to go with my partner
Feb = the tail-end of the season. Gets pretty icy cause of the warm weather.
Deb - Jan is your best bet.
It typically runs mid dec - march. Jan and Feb are the 'peak' so typically prices are higher and you want to book early. If you go Dec/March then accommodation, lift passes tend to be a bit cheaper. You can expect some cheap flights in Feb though as school holidays are over and there will be very good snow :)
I like Tokyo in the winter, it's cold but it's also nice and dry.
depends where you go. the further north then the long the "winter" as well as the "higher you go"
you should north for snow.
very little around tokyo in winter. snows a couple of times there.
Thinking of going to Hakuba so best not to book in march not much snowfall are you saying?
Maybe I'll look for February tickets :) when do they roughly come on sale for next year?
Tickets for Feb next year are on sale right now. Full service airlines generally release them 330 days prior to departure.
If you are talking sale as in cheap fares, unpredictable and generally not for peak/shoulder season unless special reason.
Hi Ryugen,
finally they have a sale for winter time!! is this a good deal? http://www.ski-holidays.jetstar.com/hotel-detail?tid=1492
is $850 return flights cheap ??
Here or in Tokyo ?
