    Do you own or rent?

Reverse cycle AC would be far more energy efficient, and would actually pay for itself fairly quickly given how much heaters jack up your power bill.

    • rent and I don't think we can install reverse cycle AC as a tenant.

Well you can, you just might get in trouble, and be unable to take it with you.

in regard to energy efficiency you will have to compare the specs but in regards to warranty and good customer service - i wouldn't touch kogan. kmart have 12 months warranty on all their products and are usually easy to return. i got mine from bunnings on clearance at the end of winter and its great but its not exactly the same as you linked.

    • any specific things to compare in the specs ?
Most of them are generic(Watts, thermostat etc)

you could always invest in a onesie, it will keep you warm everywhere you go, just don't wait until your busting for the toilet because it takes a minute to get off.

  • Will those suitable and safe as bathroom heater?

Energy efficiency for these type of heaters is a bit misleading. These type of heaters are for all intents and purposes 100%. What differs is fan, timers and safety. Choose a heater that suits your needs.
Split system much more energy efficient, there is no harm in approaching your landlord and asking if they would be willing to install split system. They may ask for a contribution or small increase in rent.

This. All of our IPs are already air conditioned, but if one of my tenants approached me with a reasonable request for another one, I'd happily purchase the unit if they paid for installation (which usually ends up being 50/50 anyway), no argument, everybody wins.

  • Would oil column heaters be more efficient than panel heaters, so will be cheaper to run?

No. Thermally they're fantastic, but they chew every bit as much power as any other electric heater.

      • Looked a little more into it. I've mistook panel heaters to be just another configuration of a fan heater.

Any reviews on these heaters ?

  • K mart click and collect system is a shambles. Would not send it to a nearby store
