Unblock USA Netflix and More for $20 Per Year @ Uflix

170
obuser

Hi everyone,

We are going to run a deal for OzBargain users only for $20 for a year of uFlix service.

Please note, that all users who wish to take advantage of this offer must have applied the coupon to their account and made the purchase before 02/06/16 in order for it to work. Users have until then to test out our service and decide to purchase or not.

As usual, I will be here throughout the day checking in to answer any questions you guys may have.

Current Regions - USA Netflix working. | UK will be back online asap.
Services - Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer.

FYI - uRouters are an optional extra that may be needed for some devices to work. Please test the service using DNS only to see if it works for your device. Some devices are not compatible with our service and we ask that you test before purchasing.

Thanks.

Seems like a good deal, and I hate to sound like a stick in the mud, but could you please outline some of the steps you guys are taking to ensure that users actually get the full year's worth of unblocking?

I'm not having a go, but with Nutflix carrying on like pork chops over geoblocking ATM, I sincerely believe it's a fair question.

      Hi,

Yes, it is a fair question and I will give you an honest answer.

Anyone who guarantees anything to do with unblocking in this industry is lying. We don't know what Netflix is going to do next. We can only try our best and work within the realms of possibility.

So far we have managed to keep ahead of them (or catch up, whichever way you want to look at it). I can not see this changing anytime soon. They do something different, we figure out a workaround. Of course, that still does not mean that everything is guaranteed.

We are also launching a new service soon, which will be a full VPN. uFlix users will all get a free upgrade to that service once it is live. It has kept getting pushed back due to Netflix, but we have progressed a lot with it.

I hope this answers your question. I know it is not exactly what you wanted to hear, but it is the honest answer, and if anyone tells you differently they are lying.

      Thanks.

      • Thank you for that, I do appreciate your honest & comprehensive answer. I also actually like that you guys are not following another industry lead of offering lifetime subscriptions for a product that as you rightly point out, nobody can guarantee.

I'm gonna give your free 3day trial a go for a day or two, then if it works for me, I might have a crack at this before the deal expires…thanks again! :)

          Hi StewBalls,

You're welcome :) I know it is not the best answer to hear, but it is the only answer that is the truth. We will always do our best to get around blocking measures. We will not give up.

          Thanks.

        • @uFlix: You could charge per month so that if it stops working, we aren't paying for a full year.

        • @T Man:

There is an option to pay monthly.

  • +2

The three day trial ends as of the 31/5/16. So, not a good deal considering most who will see this will want to try the service first.
How about ending the deal after 7 days?

    • +4

Hmmm, fair point. We will add one more day to cover the trial period. We can not add more though.

      Thanks.

Bought your last year deal rep. Think I got about 3 months out of it. Yep I read the "fix" but I don't want to buy another $50 router to get what I paid for in the first place. Tried your new dns. Doesn't work either.

    • The router is optional for all devices. It is only needed on some devices which have no other workaround available. If you have a router with Open WRT or DD WRT you can use that instead of a uRouter. However, some devices will no longer work unfortunately.

      Thanks.

    • Pretty much why I gave up on these guys. I understand they are trying to workaround all the issues of late but the path they've chosen isn't going to suit everyone. There are another options available. Give dns4me a try. No vpn router needed. Was working for me. I've since given up on Netflix for now. Waiting for new seasons of narcos and orange new black to come on to sign up again.

        Hi,

You can use DNS alone with us. The only thing is some devices need workarounds in place, which not all routers support. If your router supports static routes or IP Tables you can use it.

        Thanks.

      • Thanks for the tip on dns4me, mate. I used uflix until fairly recently but stopped since the latest changes.

  • The Netflix account I use is a family multiuser account. I don't own it just use it. Can I still use this service to unlock?

    • Hi,

Sort of. You can use it as long as you are all on the same network, as we use your IP address to authenticate your account. If you are all logging in from the same network then it will work.

      Thanks.

      • I'm at a different location to the account owners location. No other user including owner wsnts to use uflix except me.

          Hi,

Yes, it should work if that is the case.

          Thanks.

  • Renewing my uflix account last night did not work - no emails sent to me to confirm renewal, I can't log into the uflix website, can't use uflix either. But the money has been taken out of my bank account…

Would appreciate any help to sort this out over private message. Even better if I could get this deal instead of full price.

    • +2

      Hi,

Sorry about that. It may be due to the delay in PayPal. Please submit a support ticket and include your ob username in it. We will refund last nights payment and set you up with the ob special.

      Thanks.

      • I don't have access to the support ticket system on your website. Will private message you now.

        • +1

          PM sent :)

        • @uFlix: All sorted out now, thanks for your help uFlix.

  • I'm new to region unblockers. The two online streaming services I use are Netflix and UFC.tv/fight pass. Am i correct in assuming that Uflix won't unblock UFC.tv? Thanks!

    • +1

      Hi,

Correct. uFlix will not unblock UFC.tv - However, I have added it to the list for our sister service to possibly add. Sorry about that.

      Thanks.

  • When i try to set up on android marshmello
It wont allow me to save the DNS settings
I have followed instuctions to the letter.

    Anyone else have this?

    Save button is not active

    • Fixed. You need to retype everything including wifi password and ip address then save button becomes active.
However it made my wifi to slow and movies taking ages to load. Think ill pass

  • Thanks OP. Just bought. My current subscription just expired. I mainly use it for the BBC unblocking.

    • +1

      No problem :) You're welcome.

  • I have an Asus RTac87u.

Can I access Netflix Us with this?

    • Hi,

You should be able to. Try it. It depends on the viewing device.

      Thanks.

      • Hey mate, so how would a Telstra TV or Xbox one go with viewing Netflix US? I believe more is involved as to just changing the dns now

    • Your RTac87u can be flashed with DD-WRT or TomatoUSB(shibby). Both offer OpenVPN adds rich features to your router. Follow the easy guides from around the web. You won't look back.

  • Never used Netflix… Just wondering is that uflix kind of utorrent or something different. ??

If I understood deal correctly that means I can watch Netflix for one year just in $20, right??

    • You understood incorrectly. You still need to pay for Netflix. Thus is just to get US content.

  • Can you use a DNS service in tandem with a VPN such as PIA? I'd like to be able to leave my VPN on whenever I want to Netflix etc.

    • Hi,

No. The VPN will take over the smartDNS service. You need to use one or the other.

      Thanks.

  • So what is the current work around to get us netflix to work?

I use xb1 and read about ddwrt modem was needed. Any easier fix yet?

  • I was 10/10 happy with this service until Netflix started messing around with their geoblocking. I didn't renew but might be worth another look. It's unfortunate none of these services can't guarantee that they will work with an easy fix.

  • I signed up, but I have checked Netflix and cannot see any difference, US movies still not accessible. Am I missing something?

    • Have you set up your DNS settings properly?

      • Yes I followed the instructions and it came up with all ok

        • Hi,

If you search for "Futurama" does it show up?

          Thanks.

        • @uFlix:
No it just comes up with titles related to Futurama

        • @Julie5251:

          Hi,

It sounds like something is not configured correctly. Please submit a support ticket so we can help troubleshoot.

          Thanks.

I was a happy user of uFlix up until about a month or two ago when Netflix cracked down. It still works on my computer, but I want to lie in bed and watch on my Xbone.

I also tried Getflix and my Xbone still wasn't working. I'm not going to buy a router just to get around it. Sad times indeed.

  • Is it currently working for Apple TV?

    • Hi. Yes it is, but you need to setup static routes in your router in order for it to work.

      Thanks.

  • Perfect timing, my subs just expired. Thanks OP!
Hopefully the full VPN service is available soon also!

  • Would this work on my Netflix App on my Samsung J6200 TV?
    Cheers,

  • I have been with them for 1yr+ and their online help is now where as good as other company's. Tried DD-Wrt didn't work asked for help and they just tell you to go online.

  • It's a bit more expensive but I'm finding smartflix to be better just because it unblocks all Netflix regions.

Downsides are that it's Netflix only and pc/Mac only, no smart devices as yet

  • Whatever happened to the v2 service?

    https://uflix.com.au/uflix-v2-update-2/

    • Hi,

www.oeck.com is uFlix v2. We are still working on it, and have had huge delays due to the bans Netflix have been putting in place.

All active uFlix members will get a free upgrade to an Oeck account when it is launched.

      Thanks.

  • Another test to see if you connected to the US Netflix is to search for "The League". It is only on US. Very funny show.

The trial is working really well, I have US Netflix back. I will set-up the VPN version they offer and see how that works.

  • Obviously not working for me, both Futurama and The League not showing up for me

    • Hi,

Please submit a ticket for help with the issue.

      Thanks.

  • I have a current subscription which expires in September. If I buy it now I assume it adds the year from September?

    • Hi,

No it won't. Submit a ticket to the website and we will manually make the upgrade for you. We will also do a special in September.

      Thanks.

  • I checked out the uflix service again for USA access that was claimed to be working.

In the past I couldn't even see the shows from the USA in my list
Now I can and I thought that meant the uFlix service that I subscribed to was working again.

Unfortunately its not, as soon as I select play on those USA shows I get.

You seem to be using an unblocker or proxy. Please turn off any of these services and try again. For more help, visit netflix.com/proxy.

PC and ROKU got the same result.

    • Netflix banned our new network. We are deploying a new network as soon as possible to get around their blocks again.

      Thanks.

      • Thanks, I think they'll end up winning by attrition.
Doesnt take them long to ban your network choices and it then takes uFlix a while to get a new one.
It's becomes a hassle when the service is down more often than not, its a lottery.

        • +1

          Hi,

Service was restored around an hour ago :)

          Thanks.

  • Thanks, tested it for 3 days and even though you had a small outage it was fixed quickly and I was kept up to date so I purchased a year.

    • Awesome!
