Tim Tams (3 Flavours) - $1 (RRP $3.65) @ Woolworths

761

Was at crows nest woolworths before and found these to be $1 (more than 50% off) if you like the flavour, it's a great price. Personally the pina colada is the best flavour out of the 3.

Flavours:

Pina Colada
Strawberry Champagne
Espresso Martini

At $1… I don't even think they are worth it. The flavours are just awful.

    • +5

Exactly. Why would I pay $1 to vomit?

      • +1

If these make you vomit you must have a weak stomach.

    • +3

They are OK but I wouldn't waste calories on them

  • +1

Cheap but they don't taste great. I'd rather have those mint slices

    • +7

Yes, I can eat a whole box of mint slices after dinner. It's yummy in my tummy

      • Better than rummy in your dummy

  • +3

    It's not a deal.
At some places it sold for 0.50C.
It's the worst ever Tim Tam.

    • +1

Surely can't be worse than the peanut butter ones?

      • +1

Correct. Peanut butter were worse than these 'champagne' ones.

        • +1

The peanut butter ones didn't contain any peanuts at all apparently.

        • +10

          @toristo:

The peanut butter ones didn't contain any peanuts

Good for people with peanut allergies…

        • +1

@jv: That was their explanation. To [paraphrase] We're selling to idiots so we didn't put peanuts in to reduce our exposure to liability. They are tumeric and caramel - and Arnotts manages to bugger up two good ingredients in doing so.

That's what you lot get if you stop making the good biscuits in Adelaide :-P

    • +7

      Half a cent? Where?

    • How do you suppose to pay half a cent?

  • +3

For those wondering what they actually taste like (bar any heavy bias):

    Pina Colada - Pineapple
    Strawberry Champagne - Strawberry
    Espresso Martini - Coffee

    • +1

I agree the point ale taste lugs pounds colada. It's not bad

      • Yep. And the Esprapple chawberry ffeena.

    • +3

      Thanks Captain Obvious

  • They're doing it as well at Richmond, VIC

  • +3
    • 1 pina
      2 pinas

  • +1

My local Woolies has the 3 Bean for $1 also.

Pina Colada actually tastes like a yellow Clinker.

    Strawberry Champagne tastes absolutely horrid.

Espresso Martini tastes like a Starbucks Cappuccino.

    • +1

Ewww yellow Clinkers. I would go through like half those packets biting the top off - realising it wasn't pink, then spitting it out. Rinse and repeat.

  • .20 at Robina

Pina Colada are $0.90 at Walkerville Woolworths (SA).

In my view, if you think of them as a Tim Tam, they're not good. If you think of them as a flavoured chocolate biscuit, they're delicious.

Some people get really upset about this stuff:

    • +1

      Same thing with Shapes now.

  • Just checked, price is $2.50 for all Tim Tam flavors at Woolworths, it maybe a store special of the three $1 packs at Crows Nest.

  • -2

    This is their normal price.

At least it has been for the last month or so…

    • +1

Not the best price either. Other stores sell them for ~80¢

  • +2

I tried all three flavors when they first came out.

I managed to finish the whole packets in spite of the horrid flavors.

The only worse product I ever tasted is the Cadbury Vegemite. One bite and the rest went to the bin.

Do your taste buds have standards?

    • The only worse product I ever tasted is the Cadbury Vegemite.

I loved the Cadbury Vegemite chocolate.

Shame it was only out for a limited time…

      • +1

It was not fit for human consumption

    • They had a half price sale on the week before, got in loads of stock, and no one wanted them. That is why they are $1. Sucked in Woolies.

  • Never tried the Pina Colada, but the champaign ones were foul. Espresso were okay at best.

    • Its not $1 at Erskineville NSW. $2.50

      • +1

The shelf price at our local shows $3.65, no indication of a special. But sure enough, all 3^ flavours scan for $1.00.

Woolworths' online (non-catalogue) listing price is usually nationwide, and while I could be wrong I'd hazard a guess they'd probably scan at Erskineville for $1.00 as well.

        • +1

You are right, it seems that the three other stores i had a look at also did not have the $1 sale price, some stores have $2.50, and others have no mention of the sale. Scanned at $1, thanks dd22qq and OP.

  • +2

Call me pedantic, but each of those biscuits worth around ~400KJ energy.

So you might want to skip a meal if you finish a whole box of them in a rush. There are around 10 of them in a box which works out to be ~4000KJ. More than a Whopper meal you can get from HJ.

I learnt it from the hard way.

  • +3

OMG the Espresso Martini are sooooo good

  • +3

Bring back the Turkish delight. Don't like these flavours :(

  • 99cents at foodland Sefton Park (SA) for all 3 of these flavours.

  • +1

That's been on sale at the price for a few months, also at Cole's.

  • It is still better than $1 Coles/Woolies branded chocolate biscuits.

  • +2

I don't get why people hates these flavours so much, for me, they are the best flavours ever!

    • -3

      You're welcome to them all.

I'd wait until they hit 20c a pack, myself, it won't be long.

  • They had 3 bean for $1 for a bit and I loved it, then they jacked it up to 1.82 :(

  • I like the espresso Martini. Got some from family visiting. True that the pineapple and strawberry is disgusting. 3 bean thing also not very good.

  • +1

What's with the criticism, I thought these were great @ $1.82
