I'm after a wired optical/laser mouse for a glass table. Any suggestions?
Don't want wireless.

you'd need a Logitech mouse with Darkfield laser tracking.
And i'm pretty sure none of their mouses with Darkfield tracking are wired either
so come 2016 and there are a couple of wireless versions, and in one instance from the same company. However, none have decided to make a wired mouse that works on glass. I guess that saves me searching then.
Looks like I found one…

@nautic:
says, will track on glass with regular environmental dust, but not totally clean glass.
@PVA: I don't think you'll find any mouse that works well on totally clean glass, or glass that stays totally clean well…
@nautic: just making you aware seeing you said you found one.
Darkfield laser tracking
What is this in non-marketing bs speak?
probably a normal laser tracker with a red translucent covering.
I've never found one that works except a ball mouse, the camera and laser ones I've tried from Logitech didn't work
glass needs to be at least 4mm thick for them to work from what i've read.
Ah okay. I bought a laser specifically for glass table top and it didn't work despite saying to does.
Cheap mouse + mouse pad = winning.
If you must have a wired mouse and must have it work on glass, get a ball mouse, but a modern USB one.
There are wireless mice that work on glass (e.g. Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX, glass must be 4mm at least, as mentioned above, but a table probably would be). If it must be wired, I think a ball mouse is your only choice. It will be very accurate on glass though, personally I'd go with that rather than risk getting annoyed with a mouse who's pointer doesn't move or is skippy.
e.g. something like this USB ball mouse:

Considered a trackball instead of a mouse? Or a mouse pad?
trackball: not very precise and lots of effort.
mousepad: fills the room with a strong odour i'd rather do without.
ball mouse: prefer not to regularly clean dust off ball.
simple corded (glass-friendly) laser mouse: i'm thinking non-existent due to added benefit of price hiking/justification for premium wireless version.
I'm not too sure what toxic mousepad you have been using.. Don't notice any smell from my Razer Goliathus- even up close.
However, if you really hate it, there are pads made of metal for e.g. http://www.corsair.com/en-au/corsair-vengeance-mm600-dual-si…
here's a tip… just because it doesn't smell, doesn't mean it's not toxic.
Okay so honestly you are getting a bit annoying. It's almost as if you forget what you type yourself. I'm the one who arbitrarily used the word toxic. That also has got nothing to do with the point I was making: i.e. which mouse pad do you use, that actually smells so bad it fills the whole room. I'm out
@zhuang281: it's the mouse pad with the large protruding bobs from a purple haired female Anime character specifically marketed for "good wrist support"
i'm just responding to what you've said when you said "toxic". i never said your advice was wrong.
Logitech MX Master - Keep the charging cable (micro USB) plugged in
Well he is wanting a wired one base on the possible price difference. So a wireless one that can be plugged in won't help there :P
where did i say that?
"'m thinking non-existent due to added benefit of price hiking/justification for premium wireless version" as opposed to a "simple corded laser mouse"
all i said was they don't make corded versions maybe because they can charge a premium for a wireless version. i wanted a non-wireless version and it's non-existent due to this presumed notion.
Well, a laser mouse will not work on a glass surface, period
