Finish "Max-in-1" Dishwashing Tablets $10 for 50 @ Coles

860

Spotted in Reservoir VIC on Wednesday

$10 catalogue price for 25 Finish "Max-in-1" (2nd best Finish tablets) (40c each)

Except they had some promo packs (presumably left over from a previous promotion) that scanned at the promo price, which means $10 for 50 tablets.

And these ones don't have to be unwrapped each time.

Enjoy. Hope you "clean up" with this deal before it's "finished". Sorry if these puns are a little too "basic" for your senses of humour (for the chemistry students)

(and I only bought two packs! I didn't unleash my inner broden)

  • Do you mean the tablets are not individually packed?
That is way too good for the environment…

Ah ic, have been using classics the whole time. All plastic wrapped.

The only problem i had with these ones is that by the time you get to the bottom of the packet, the last few are all sticking together. Although I live in a humid environment.

put 1/4 cup of rice in the bottom of the box. (we found rice that handy for many things including salt shakers when living in humidity Qld).

Although if it's wet hands cause it, then it'll only help a bit

        • @supabrudda:
That's a great idea. Going to do that when I get home tonight.

      • Mine never melt. I end with a wet pack

Is this any good for the Mrs to add to the sink while washing

    • +8

      no. way too harsh.

(I was referring to both the chemicals involved and your low-level misogyny :) )

    • Western suburbs represent! my local Coles!

  • Difference between these and the ones you get from the reject shop?
    I bought some 110 for $20

    • No need for separate finish rinse wash aid stuff (having mental blank)

I enjoy a good dishwasher tablet bargain as much as the next guy, but I will note that the max-in-1 lemon tablets performed REALLY poorly in a Choice test.

I used to use Powerball tablets and made the switch to another brand, I will never look back. I also cry at night because I have opinions about dishwasher tablets.

    • what do you use now?

      • +1

Earth Choice all in one. I can actually use the 'quick rinse' on my dishwasher now!

  • Fairy platinum or these better?

A recent Federal Court case considered this question: https://jade.io/article/401411

Also if you want to know the difference between the different Finish tablets, according to the judge:

'Important differences are that the Finish Max-in-1 and Finish All-in-1 tablets are “hard pressed” tablets, while the Finish Quantum Max tablet has a plastic coating with separate blue and white compartments. The Finish Max-in-1 is surrounded by a dissolvable wrapper, while the Finish All-in-1 is not (it is sold in individual wrappers that must be removed before the tablet is placed in the dishwasher).'

Max in 1 is better than All in 1 (which is what COTD has), although according to Choice they're both pretty crap. Better off waiting for Quantum to go on sale or buying another brand.

According to Choice the top 5 tablets in order of performance are:

Earth Choice All in 1 auto dish tablets
      Eco Store Auto dishwasher tablets
Coles Ultra Plus Dishwash power pods 20 pods
Finish Powerball quantum max with baking soda
      Fairy Platinum dishwasher tabs

      • Gotta give Coles tablets a go I guess!

I just get the coles dishwashing powder. Its $2 for a kilo and works a treat and would give me about 80 washes. Even empty it into a brand name powder jug so I can keep up appearances.

    • Have to agree with you here. Tablets have been very well marketed.

      • but it's got the powerball!

  • Mount Ommaney had plenty of the promo packs left this afternoon

None left at my local coles

Anyway while I was finishing off my shopping I noticed a trolley with about 10 packs

While he wasn't looking I took a 2 packs from his trolley and put them in mine

He gets 8 packs and I get 2…..

    Win win situation

    • You probably ´´stole'' from another ozbargainer!!

Was just in coles, Glenelg Sa. They have plenty of those 50packs in stock. I saw at least 20 packs….

Was shopping with the missus and grabbed two bags, her response.
"WE HAVE OVER 400" my response "its cheap"
    Recieve the look of death…
"fine… you put it back on the shelf im walking away from it"

    • so you have to buy it and just keep it in the boot of your car (like I do)

  • Around 4 packs left at Orion coles Springfield :) shelf price $28, I'm happy with what I got 😃
