OK so i bought the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro snapdragon 650 from deals machine
it does indeed have an unoffical supplier ROM
How do i flash the Official ROM onto this phone?
i tried to follow this guide

when i do try to flash it give me device is busy and wont work
I've seen other people on ozbargain said they flashed the phone in less then 5 minutes
please share with me your method

SP Flash Tool is only for Mediatek (MTK) devices, not Snapdragon based phones.
Are you sure you have the path set correctly (the extracted folder of the Fastboot ROM) in the MiFlash tool? I think that may be one of the reasons for the busy message.
sorry i got it working, had to "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"

Yes but not everything went to plan.
this step where it said "5.Open Device Manager and Phone will be detected as QHUSB_BULK."
my computer will automatically find the driver for it as "relink hs-usb qdloader 9008"
you have to manually change the driver to "qualcomm hs usb qdloader 9008" in order to flash
im not sure how i did it, but it was a bit of fiddling around
