This was just released on kick starter and the cheapest time 2 was sold out before I even woke up. Anyone else interested in these new pebble devices?

Jeez mate, you copied your whirlpool post word for word!
I ordered the same one. The lack of gps was the only reason I didn't get the origunal time so I'll hoping the core is as good as it seems.
Chill bro, I'm a lazy bastard! Was kinda hoping someone would call me out on that lol.
Yeah ideally I'd like a watch that does everything, but the combo I ordered is likely to be the best <$500 total solution for some time.
It sounds interesting, though I am kinda more interested in Time Steel because of the possible price drop. I assume that, given how Time 2 is an upgrade and it wouldn't be that far from Black Friday, shipping is planned for September and late November is black friday.
Feel sorry for people who've backed Time Steel heart rate monitor accessory kickstart campaign though, because of how Time 2 sounds like better on paper at least.
Pebble software is good. I have the original pebble, Motorola 360, and the pebble time. They are the most practical smart watches for multiple phone os. Very interested in the time 2. What would be ideal is that they made a conversion case that made it has the aesthetic and tough Factor of a g-shock
How did the Pebble Time compare with the original Pebble?
Also, what was better about the 360?
Original pebble didn't look to professional and was cheap plastic everything. Pebble time improved it's look and added glass. Functionally, pebble time had more apps and watch faces as well as step /exercise functions. Both has good battery life. The later software updates with timeline is amazing. Really smart with smart alarms too.
Motorola 360 looks best and feels quality. Batteryife ok at best. Best watch faces. However using all under iOS so it's somewhat limited.
I only really use it for notifications
Also vibrations on pebble is strong. Sometimes I miss the vibration buzz on moto because it's much weaker
@supnigs:
Yeah I was really impressed when the Pebble Time functionality became available on the original. I quite liked the style of mine too - still get comments from people on it.
The vibration is really good, and the battery life is great.
I was going to just get the Core because I assumed it would work on my original, but the amazing takeup of the Pebble Time 2 made me pull the trigger.
Pity I won't get them til the end of the year. :(
Tempted with time 2 as well. Like the look of it with the larger screen and smaller bezel. But haven't pulled the trigger because it's probably still too similar to the time. Congrats on being a backer ☺
@supnigs:
Cheers, yeah fair call I wouldn't have if I had the Time already. It was hard enough since I love the original as it is! I mainly want a large screen as for running I'd like to see clearly time/pace/distance/duration. Heart rate and stuff are a bonus.
Core because I assumed it would work on my original
For others assuming the same thing: apparently the core only works with Pebble 2 and the Time series.
@ChillBro:
Legend, thanks mate. That'll help convince wifey. ;)
Time Round 2 is probably going to be more interesting. If they can deal with the poor battery life it will likely be the better bet. On previous experience it will be launched in Sept.
Note, they also have space to do a plastic Time 2 (maybe at a lower price) as well, what they launched today is the equivalent of the Time Steel 2.
Got one of the $69 Pebble Cores, not sure exactly what I'll do with it but seemed a reaqsonable price
I like my Pebble Time Steel but I'm not sure if this is a big enough upgrade to consider splashing out for.
gonna wait and see what else is on the horizon — apparently Google Wear 2.0 is out soon. It's a shame though that anything running Android Wear is generally a device you have to charge every few days rather than once a week.
I've signed up for the Pebble Time 2 and Pebble Core.
Fair bit of money so I'm hoping they are good!
I've currently got the original Pebble and reckon it's a great device – so I should be satisfied.
