Saw a variety of Apple iPads on sale in store, pretty solid reductions, couldn't find equivalent on website so I suspect it's a single store special, may have something to do with renovations occurring?

Whilst reasonably priced, I don't think the ipad 2 will offer much use in the long run. Ios 9 makes the thing super sluggish up to the point of frustration when using it and leaving the default factory ios (7? 8? If its newer stock or ios 4/5 if its old stock?) would mean that you may not be able to download newer apps.
Yes these are horrible now days. I bought my mother one back when they came out and it was great. But with the recent OS upgrades Apple have (purposefully?) made it horrible and laggy and infuriating to use. As in things taking multiple seconds to respond to your touch when previously they were fine. And of course, you can't downgrade. I guess apple only wants them to last 2 or 3 years. Won't be buying one again.

Definitely agree. I've relegated mine to the kitchen for looking at recipes, and to play music. Not really good for much else anymore.

Just don't browse Gumtree on the ipad, my ipad 3 was so laggy every time I did, and it was over a year ago. Even the latest ipad still lag on Gumtree, open another tab and they reload every time I switch tabs

Great price the kids. The only problem is when the kids drop it onto their toes. They are a lot heavier than the Air models.

Assuming this comes with the original OS, try not updating it to the latest (or at all). Yes, Apple probably does make it a bit laggy after a few OS upgrades I think. You probably won't be able to download most of the modern apps though.
