Looking for all in one lens.

I recently bought canon 80D from TGG with 20% off. It came with 18-55mm stm lens. I'm planning to upgrade the lens to 18-135mm usm. And I found one online with the price of A$559. The details for the lens is [CANON EF-S 18-135MM F/3.5-5.6 IS USM LENS] (http://www.dreamkart.com.au/canon-ef-s-18-135mm-f-3-5-5-6-is…).
How good is this lens is?? All I want is genuine stuff. Any suggestion for all in one lens for general purpose??

No such thing as all in one. Can't have your cake and eat it.

I'm not a professional.. All I need is for general purpose.

Make a cake mixing all the stufs and flavour you want at home. You can get all in one..

If the answer doesn't matter, why ask?
It i like asking if Desert Duellers are good tires for your new Landcruiser, and then somebody responds they are good in sand and gravel, but less adequate in mud you respond "LOL, I don't care, I just drive my kid to soccer."

A long zoom doesn't have fast apertures or high image quality. The positive review notes "horrendous barrel distortion at 18mm, and strong pincushion distortion at most other focal lengths".

It seems a shame to spend so much money to limit yourself to the kind of image quality you could get with a pocket compact camera.

I have lens with a similar zoom range for my cheap Pentax dslr. It is adequate for travel where the benefit of a single lens outweighs image quality for happy snaps. I am assuming since you bought a fairly high end camera image quality will be at the forefront, so I think that means carrying a wide angle and a telephoto. I found myself just taking my 50mm prime on the last couple of trips as the lack of wide aperture and image softness made me dislike the zoom.

I think i would be disappointed if I had spent $1000 on the body and another $500 on a zoom.

That said, Ken Rockwell is upbeat on this lens:

And some of the dpreview people are happy:
