Saw heaps of them at local Aldi today. 99c a pack which I think has 6 pieces?
Same size as those in Coles / Woolies, but they aren't that cheap even when having half price.
Anyone tried these? Was tempted to pickup, unsure about quality.

Yep, there were a number of them tagged 69c, makes me worry about the rest lol.
It's 99c you hesitated to pick one up and try it.(face.palm).
they will also refund your money if you are not satisfied
For 99c does it matter? They're probably just rebadged "Golden" crumpets.
It's my belief that they are rebadged golden crumpet.
They are soggyer then golden, maybe less cooked maybe diff recipe
Always ask yourself is the risk worth taking? I say not…
Nearly everyone loves crumpet in the morning
And taco for dinner.
They are the same. I normally get them and there's no difference. Check the date because crumpets get mouldy quickly.
I would wait for the price to drop below 98 cents, otherwise there is too much at stake.
That's one can of baked beans on special price or a small tub of sour cream.
Is Aldi is good :) well 98% of the time it's good the rest I've found you can return without a hassle
Dude… just buy them. You said yourself it was 99 cents. That's probably less work than the effort of making this post.
In all seriousness, I have tried them. Just tasted like normal crumpets to me, and lasted me 3 breakfasts. So for 99c, not too shabby at all.
These are fine and always have been.
Gee whatever you do check thoroughly for mould (same at Woolies,Coles, IGA etc tho)
seem to be prone to it imho.
