Don't think they will ever get that cheap …. look at the resale value on ebay, even with cracked screens, and apple does a good job of ios updates even for older ipads. I have 2 android tablets collecting dust as they never got support beyong kit kat. Even had to buy a new phone to get Android 6.
Bigger challenege is with 16GB you need to manage what is on the ipad …. with 32gb you can just leave junk you never use on it. But I do have to admit …. a lot of the junk is just games my son hasn't deleted as opposed to something usefull….
You can't use it because it's on Kit Kat? Why do you need to have it on Android 6.0 to be able to use it? Most apps are backwards compatible with older Android system. Alot of people are still using iOS 6,7 on their iPhone 4 or 5 and I'm still using a Huawei Y550 with KitKat 4.4 and it works well.
Some people don't like running operating systems that are widely attacked through many vulnerabilities when these vulnerabilities have been fixed in later OS versions.
They use their devices for internet banking and don't want to have their data ransomed or uploaded to 4chan and so on.
up unti, ndroid 6 you didn't have much control about what other resources apps could access if you loaded them eg your contacts etc. they fixed that in android 6 so now you have the ability to limit what apps can access when you load them. also security patches.

What the difference between the ipad air and ipad air 2? Would i best wait daughter yes who is very young always grabs wife ipad which is a few years older now and thought as daughter already has too much toys to grab an ipad.
It be for xmas so might be better deals around and will get a protective case for it so if dropped its still fine.
But not sure if this a good deal or notIf you buy an ipad for your daughter she will probably forget about all her toys but as she is still really young why wouldn't you give her the old ipad and get the new one for your wife?

Tempted to get the ipad air and griffin case which be around $470 all in.Personally 16gb is very limited even for your daughter. If you've already decided on an ipad, best to stock up on iTunes cards. Currently 25% off at Coles. Agree ipads are great for kids. So many free kids apps on ios devices compared to android.
that latest iPad Air has a laminated screen ….. digitiser and lcd are glued together so if you crack the screen it's a very expensive repair the iPad Air 1 st gen has a separate digitiser glass so the replacement glass is $20 plus fitting ….. $90 all up if shop does it. I bought 1st gen iPad Air for cheaper screen repairs.
And when they say space grey and silver why dont they show you this as only show you front on which one is white and other black

Yes but many places still selling even target for about $20 more so not a steal of a deal but cheapest I have seen of the air 1 at this time.

I got an iPad air 2 refurbished recently. It's a pretty amazing device. Super super snappy and responsive. Well worth it if you're after a tablet.

So, here is what I'm planning, purchase from TGG the Air 16GB at $517, make up to $600 (cover etc) then pay across two AMex cards (Amex deal with TGG spend redeem $100), then do a price match with office works (as per this deal) and get 120% of the difference, then TRS based on $517 purchase price. So final cost should be $517-100-108-47 = $262. Does anyone see any issue in this?

Hasn't it always been the case that it states it in the T&Cs it excludes Apple, but Amex has no way of knowing.
