I had an LG Front Loader - it used so little water, and cleaned the sh*t out of clothes, even without washing powder (forgot to put it in once). Only issue I had, was once the door was shut and the cycle started, there was no opening the door until the end of cycle, some of them are 2 1/2 hrs long.
F&P has really good reviews and is one of the best in CHOICES.
I did a lot of research on washing machines when I was planning to buy it last year but didn't get around to it.
I was using Simpson back then, worse of the worse (always unbalanced, and it rips me and my mates tough jeans too).
Also, when I went travel, saw the simpson in the holiday apartments, and surprisingly same problem.
Just go with F&P. As for LG, their washing machines is kind of miss and hit based on online reviews and choices magazine.
Title is a bit click baity… Here I was thinking it was $139 for the pair… :P

I'm not sure about it
i hate that website. Those people sound like a bunch of morons.
Just saw those reviews too. A little concerning.
Generally, people who enjoy their products don't go on the internet to write reviews about it.
Check out those reviews. All people with fresh accounts and only 1 review.
Their machine probably broke down and they went online to vent about it.
If the rating is over 1.5, you should interpret it as 'good enough'. These people want their $500 washer to operate as a $10000 washing machine with 2050 technology.
My favourite review… Had for 8 months now, going strong. Gets Unbalanced Occasionally/ on Big donnas
I have never tried washing large kebabs before… Don't they get soggy and fall apart? :-p
You know the Washing Machine looks heavier that 8.5kg. lol
Please read reviews.

1.9 out of 5 - Quite possible it would be lower, if reviewers could rate at less than one.
Try buying Esatto 8kg top loader from Masters in this price range and you will know how bad is Simpson.
Simpson is a well trusted brand IMHO.
I have this machine - bought it from the good guys for 499 18 months ago. Good reliable machine BUT - cycle times are long and it locks the lid during rinse, and it is loud - would only get one if you have a laundry room / garage you are using it in. Also you need to load it evenly for big loads and ensure it is setup perfectly level - it will alarm and stop the wash during spin if it decides its spinning off centre/unstable.
How does this compare to a $1000 Fisher and Paykel or LG?
I'm about to buy a $1100 LG washing machine.
They were selling this machine for $729 yesterday. rofl
