Anon VPN - 1 Year Subscription- "Pay What You Want" (Min $1)

80

As title says, go to the link and click on the option which says pay what you want. It will lockout the first two items of the bundle but will keep the third one active which is subscription for one year. I put $1 and went though Paypal payment. Got code in my account within 10 minutes which had to be redeemed on anonvpn.io

I don't know how effective this will be for VPN anonymity but from looking at the reviews online, slightly better speeds than PIA.

Their website is very shiny but doesn't seem to have much info so I am going to try it with openvpn client and do the dns check etc before using it. Should be good enough if you just want to use it to trick websites into believing that you are in the USA or UK although they claim no logs policy.

There is a referral link but its not approved so I wont post it.

It's not pay what you want. The minimum is $1.

    • I just said what they advertised. Sorry. Description updated.

No need to neg it! $1 is still pretty good!

$1 is not pay what you want. Is it?

We do care about the deal not the grammar!

    • Yeah normally "Pay What You Want" is literal and includes $0.
It's not grammar, it's a term used when things are free and have an option of adding a donation.
it's like if you said BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) and the free item was a totally different item.

Either way the commentator below says this service is rubbish so I wouldn't risk it.

I tried these guys a few months ago, and demanded my $1.50 back from stack social.
    1) They didn't have any android setup they promoted.
    2) Locations were not as advertised.
    3) US was the only one which worked.

    Speeds were fairly slow.
They borrowed/stole their setup/configs/etc from another company (I can't remember the company but it was all through their openvpn files, instruction, etc)

    dodgy dodgy dodgy

I didn't try them but I suspected what you say from the beginning, they cannot offer for free what other VPN professional services do.

I suggest you use CyberGhost the free version, limited locations (still plenty available), connection to the server for the free version is around 20 seconds and the most important thing is it WORKS 100%!

      • I actually went TorGuared, it's only $us30/yr heaps of servers.

Oh I forgot, I lodged 3 support tickets about various issues, I heard nothing back.
That's what I complained to Stacksocial & it appears they didn't have any luck either.
