Own a V6 Absolute, love just being able to grab it to clean a room or clean up a mess, so much easier than a standard vacuum!
V6 hands down. There is no comparison!
The Miele's have significantly better suction than the Dyson's. Just check out the independent reviews such as Choice.
No current bargain on Miele c3 tho.
Depends on what their house has but overall I'd say the Miele w/turbohead is a much better buy for general use. They come on special every now and then.
Miele:
Pros:
Customisable with the turbobrush and you can buy the HEPA filters for it
Better suction and the turbobrush is amazing so it does a much better job of cleaning carpet especially if you have animals
More durable
Bags are easier to emptyCons:
Heavier/less mobile so if your parents are very old (80+) perhaps the Dyson would be a better buy for them.
I kinda think Dyson V6 and Miele are not comparable as in, Dyson V6 is a handheld one that you can't really use for cleaning the entire house (at least in one go).
I guess other than that, people will probably say Miele because bagged ones are usually better in terms of durability and how clean they are (as emptying out bagless one can cause dust to fly everywhere). I do remember someone saying that bagged ones last longer and professionals all use bagged ones (I guess it was from pretty much every Dyson deal).
Though, I own a DC59 and I love it because of how easy it is to just take it out and vacuum. I found it to clean better than low quality vacuum cleaners that I've come across (in other words, I find its performance reasonable) and it's easy to use. I do like the fact that I don't have to buy the bags (since I am horrible with keeping up with how many things I have in the house). I do know that people say that bagless are worse than bagged ones in many regards, but if you know what you are getting before getting it, I think it's alright.
So my opinion is, it depends?
