My current cloths dryer (Westinghouse Laundromat 350) has started to trip the safety switch/circuit breaker/RCD/what ever you want to call it when I use it so I am looking to replace it (it literally came with the house when I brought it and I am willing to bet repairing is more expensive then buying new).
ALDI has a 4.5kg dryer on sale for $250 with a three year warranty. I rarely use the dryer but sometimes it is really handy when the rain just won't let up or I need something dry and the cloths horse in the house will take too long. Has anyone brought one of these dryers in the past or any other ALDI whitegoods? If so how have you found them? Are they worth the money for the occasional use that I need (I think six times a year at max) or am I better of getting something with a name on it?
You can probably diagnose the fault yourself, just by using google. It might be as simple as a fan belt, which you can replace for around $20 and <1 hour of your time.
Hard to beat that price - much cheaper than Beko/Haier/Other Chinese Brand. I can't see ALDI going anywhere for 3 years, so what do you have to lose?
