Issues with Everbuying and (Possibly) Dodgy Shipping Info

Hi All,

I am just looking at some feedback from other people who have bought stuff from Everbuying.

I ordered a couple of power banks and a watch from them in April. I received an email from them confirming that they had shipped one of the powerbanks and the watch 4 days after the order. It included a tracking number and an estimated 7-10 days shipping time.

I followed the tracking and after 8 days it was marked as delivered. Great, except that it was delivered to someone is China. So I queried this with them, and also asking when the other item was likely to ship. The initial response ignored the fact that my items had been delivered to someone in China, but told me that they didn't have the second powerbank in stock, so they offered store-credit or equivalent product. So I re-queried the fact that my item had been delivered to someone in China, and I was advised that it was it was the item being delivered from their warehouse to their distribution centre and that it would update to show being sent to me. To me this stinks of BS.

I then suggested that I would open a PayPal claim for a full refund because they hadn't sent any of the items to me and I didn't want store credit if they couldn't deliver the order. They have now advised that they have shipped the second powerbank as well and that I should expect them in 3-4 weeks, so both products have been shipped to me.

I have never heard of a company giving the customer a tracking code for an internal shipping, and I find it horribly convenient that after I suggested I would request a full refund for not having provided the products that I'm advised that the item they told me they didn't have in stock has now shipped.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Everbuying? Am I being unreasonable? Or is this just normal?

I am kind of getting the feeling that I'm not going to see any of the items. Particularly annoying given that one of the powerbanks was a birthday present for someone heading overseas.

    Am I being unreasonable?

    No

    Or is this just normal?

    Yes

I'm sure Monty would be happy to look into this for you

    • Hi Nocure, is Monty associated with them?

      • Yes, he would be more than happy to get it sorted.

  • I made an order on 19/4 for a microsd card. it arrived today. so 4 weeks delivery time.

you don't say exactly when in April you bought it. I'd suggest waiting 5-6 weeks from the purchase date and then if it hasn't arrived then take screen dumps of the the tracking number email from everbuying and of the parcel tracking/china post site showing delivery in china. send those screen dumps to paypal as part of the dispute.

I've had sellers give me incorrect tracking numbers before.

paypal gives you 120(?) days to make a claim. so you have time. but yeah, it's annoying to be stuffed about.

  • my item had been delivered to someone in China, and I was advised that it was it was the item being delivered from their warehouse to their distribution centre and that it would update to show being sent to me. To me this stinks of BS

That seems pretty normal to me, often the tracking page will show "Delivered" status to various intermediaries along the way.

  • I bought some earphones from the "new" Everbuying.

After a month of "Processing", I opened a ticket asking Everbuying to deliver. They responded with " Out of Stock". Currently, the refund is "Processing".

Guess I wouldn't have found out if I forgot about the order. .Everbuying is dodgy as ever.

  • Well interesting development with this - appears that Everbuying is GearBest. I I base this on the fact that I got a response from Gearbest to my Everbuying ticket…

In less interesting developments, neither of my tracking codes provide any details because one is still showing as "delivered" (in China) and the other doesn't register…

Unlike Gearbest though (where i received my orders), have yet to get my 2x orders from everbuying with the first being 6 weeks since i ordered and the 2nd being 3 weeks. Their shipping links are dodgy.

Their response on the first was that the first order may take up to 180 days… seriously considering paypal dispute for both and just ditching them.

      Part of their ticket:
"Please note this timeframe is only decided by the carrier to consider the item lost. Some other providers would even use a 180-day deadline after shipment. As a proof of goodwill, we Everbuying commit to help our customer the best we can, by resolving delivery issues as early as possible."

      • interestingly my only dealing with GearBest saw me cancel the order because they had my money for over a month and still hadn't shipped the item.

So far Geekbuying is the most reliable that I've dealt with..

        • Funny enough, just saw update with 2nd parcel. Ordered last week, has cleared customs just late yesterday so hoping to receive the 2nd one soon.

Meanwhile the 1st one which was an order made around 3/4/16 has been in transit from Singapore since 10/04, been in transit for 46 days with no update since then…

I'm having a kind of GB experience with them. :(

Over time ordered a few things from them, but now having hard time. One of my orders gone missing and other one was shipped lattteeeeee!!! and delivered in the opened package with broken seal.

For the missing one they told me to wait for 2 months before they can investigate on it. Yet, according to the tracking no. there is no status update on the parcel sine mid April.
    What made me really upset:
    - Support website implies you should contact them after 25 days.
    - Canned response telling me to come back when 2mths deadline is reached.
    - When challenged, they seem to DELETE my ticket with them!!!

    As for the other one:
    - Item shipped after 3 weeks, despite promised 'Ships within 4-10 business days'.
    - The delivered item is restocked(or used): broken package seal and torn bags with accessories.
    - The same here; when challenged, they seem to DELETE my ticket with them!!!

Now I'm enjoying playing 'ping pong' with them as their customer service is useless. :(

It was nice when it lasted, but now its time to add them to the GB bucket.

    • Sorry to hear your experience mate.

I've just hit 4 weeks from shipping date on the first part of the order, which had a 7-10 day shipping time and is marked as delivered in China. Have given them the tracking. Told them that I want it resolved through refund or re-post, or I'll just get onto PayPal to request a refund - at this point they are just being obstructive. If they can't trust their couriers/postal service then they should not use them, and use one that they can. It's pretty simple. Yes, it would maybe increase cost by a couple of dollars, but losing business because of dodgy practice will cost them a whole lot more. If they are just being dodgy and not shipping, then that's no different to theft…

      • Sadly in many cases 'treating' a vendor with paypal is the only way to make them to provide any meaningful assistance. Hopefully it will work in the EB case and you won't get to see:

We shipped on 04/xx/2016. Therefore your delivery deadline will expire on 06/xx/2016.
Once we receive all details above, we will offer you the right resolution for your case on this date.
Please note this time frame is only decided by the carrier to consider the item lost. Some other providers would even use a 180-day deadline after shipment. As a proof of goodwill, we Everbuying commit to help our customer the best we can, by resolving delivery issues as early as possible.

The above is a part of their canned response :(

I'm not sure, if getting a different postal service can change anything. We have had a bench (200x50x50cm) lost by Toll and a pc by DHL, so these event are not uncommon. However, in both cases the retailers were helpful and quickly provided quality assistance. No point to expect from EB the Amazon's level customer service, but when things clearly gone wrong, they must do a better job.

Wish you good luck with solving your purchase problem!

    • After some battle they have reinstated my tickets. Yet, it doesn't change anything; customer service sucks and quality assurance doesn't exist :(

I'm still puzzle what to do with the item that was send used. How can I prove that the item was opened? These things are low value items and almost not worth the hassle, but…

Does it mean that from now on, I need to recode parcel openings?

  • You're not alone.

I ordered 4 Old Shark lightning cables that were MFI certified. For non-Apple users, this means you pay 5x the regular cost to get reliable, robust cables.
It took almost 2 months to ship the cables. That's a record slow time for me. This is by far the slowest delivery i've ever had.

The four cables eventually arrived and were neatly packed, each in a plastic bag and cable tied. I tried them for the first time today and two of the cables do not work. I tried each cable in the same USB port on my desktop PC. I tried each cable once. Then I tried each cable again to confirm that it wasn't pot luck. Lightning cables can be plugged in either way and neither way worked on the faulty cables.

I've contacted everbuying asking for either replacement cables or a refund. I hope to hear back from them by the end of this week. I'm opening a PayPal dispute, just in case.

  • Gearbest and Everbuying are one and the same.

Here is part of gearbest's reply which is the exact same as everbuying's reply

"Please note this time frame is only decided by the carrier to consider the item lost. Some other providers would even use a 180-day deadline after shipment. As a proof of goodwill, we gearbest commit to help our customer the best we can, by resolving delivery issues as early as possible.
Your kind and early reply will be appreciated."

I feel that Everbuying should be banned on ozbargain as well just like gearbest because they are up to the same old tricks.

  • I was fortunate enough to get what I've bought. That said, out of all the Chinese vendors I've used, Everbuying I think was the slowest one. Most of the products from China (mostly Aliexpress) came in within 2~3 weeks. The mousepad I've bought from Everbuying came 4~5 weeks after they've shipped the product. Their shipping info was questionable and to be honest, from how slow they are and from how dodgy their shipping info was, I don't think I will ever use them ever again.

  • Item not received here from Everbuying after 7 weeks. Support difficult to deal with - wasting time and throwing statements around that aren't in their T&Cs. Not looking good for me so far.

  • There's a whole bunch of Everbuying orders for xiaomi earphones that seem to be stuck in customs - all arriving there 13th Nov I think. Not sure what to do next, everbuying have said to wait until some period has passed

    • Mine are headphones. Last status is Australian customs. Being told to wait 60 days, not published anywhere, is a poor ask. Chargeback imminent.
