Man I've got to stop buying free glasses. (3 pairs this month already)

  • yeap, i just got mine last friday. It was from US.

This will be my second set of glasses in one month but considering this is about 1/30th of what I would pay in Australia….I'll take the punt.

  • Funny how theres a Paypal logo at the bottom of the page. After I get to payment page they only let you pay by credit card. Oh well, still voted this up as a good deal. The optical industry is a rort

  • My son wears glasses. How do i know what his prescription is? Someone guide me how do i get it?

    • You can see an optomitrist (covered by medicare) and ask them to write down the prescription for you

    • if your son already wears glasses, your optometrist should already have your son's file at hand, and his prescription

    • Get a bulk billed eye test and get them to provide a prescription. They are required to give that to you and not require you to buy anything else from them. You can get an eye test bi-annually and prescription check at least annually.

  • I actually think the ClearlyContcts's giveaway is the best choice. Only $13, the lucky one could get a chanel frame with a pair of coating lenses. What could we expect more.

  • Very few to pick from here compared to clearly contacts, which I am still waiting to arrive.

  • do these include the lenses

  • thank u, i will speak to the optometrist.

  • My problem is my lenses are stronger than any of these places provide for `free'. Still this is a good deal for those lucky enough to have a script that fits in the range.

    • I have a strong left lens script and I wasn't charged extra with this deal - and I usually am.

  • Any idea how long this deal lasts?

  • so let me get this right - you can order full prescription glasses for less than AU$50 delivered?
sounds too good to be true…

  • They dont have kids glasses???

  • erm… not https when i'm supposed to put CC details in. i'm bailing out. good deal otherwise

  • the only "problem" with buying specs from overseas is that you cant usually claim back from health funds unless the company is registered in Australia. The exception to this is Clearly Contacts (the items are mailed from USA or Canada) as they provide an Australian receipt which is recognised by MBF etc.

    • Yes but if they are free what does it matter?

not quite 100% free as you have a small postage cost.

    • It says in the title and description you have to pay postage.
