  • these blends suitable for lattes?

    • Yes all suitable for milk based :-)

    • From the description

      Suits milk based and espresso

  • Any Yemen beans coming?

    • Not at the moment. The Yemen green beans are generally priced at about 4-5 times more than most so difficult to offer on Ozbargain as we'd have to charge around $100 for 2kg just to be breaking even and this wouldn't be perceived as a deal by many ;-)

      • Please let me know if you have any in stock even if not on ozbargain. Looking for 1 kg. Bought Yemen from you before and loved that exquisite taste.

        • could you explain whats good about it?

        • @furythree:

Not sure how to explain it. It's not your average coffee taste. Kind of like good wine. It's got depth.

        • @kyle: bitter? acidity? sweetness? light/heavy?

        • @furythree:

          Definitely not bitter. Very smooth.

        • @kyle: definitely want some now!

        • @furythree: I only have old crop of Yemen so don't know if it would still be good or not. I tell you what I'll do. I'll roast up what I have and if good I'll let you both know :-)

Yemen has a rich spicy quality and usually very good body and depth. It's one of the worlds original natural coffees and is only produced in small quantities

        • i'd love to know if you could offer me some too if it's any good.
i am on my last bag!
also could i swap out the brazilian with a fully washed for espresso?
          thanks again

        • @mannabeans:

          Sounds good.

        • @deviant: happy to swap out the Brazilian if you leave notes in Paypal but the Brazilian natural is a bit sweeter coffee with great body so should be perfect for espresso.

        • @furythree: @Kyle: @Deviant: Ok roasted and tested the little bit of Yemen I had left and it is still performing well. I have 500g each for you guys if you want to include in an order (swap out one of the coffees.)

I won't charge you guys any extra but please leave notes in Paypal. If you just want me to ship 480g Yemen by itself then it will be $25

        • @mannabeans: damn, i already ordered and received delivery yesterday :(

happy to do another order if you can arrange a small quantity order

I was hoping to get a bag of decaf, but you wrote on my invoice that you were out :(

can you do a deal for 2 x 500g with one bag of yemen and another bag of decaf? Mrs cant have caffeine atm and is dying for coffee

You really need to start an account registration system on your website to track orders. So you know who your regular customers are :P

by the way, 1 of the bags i got was nicely vacuum packed, but the other 3 had tons of air in them. is that normal? and i swear that one of the bags feels lighter and more empty…could be because of the expanded air in the bag

        • @furythree: Thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry you missed out on the decaf, I did actually perform a small batch roast just for you as I saw your Ozbargain comment and wanted to help. Your order must have already been placed before this.

I can ship you 480g Yemen and 480g Decaf Domination Blend for $30 if that helps? Please send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes :-) Hope you have a great weekend

        • @mannabeans: placing order now :)
edit ordered placed, if you can split them into 4 bags thatd be great. but no dramas if you cant

        • great!

i have ordered and kept the brazil blend as suggested. i'll give it a go. i only have espresso.
i was quite happy with the washed varieties last order. i just finished my last cup today….

now i have to wait the weekend!! :(
          ordered, paid and left notes.
          thank you again.

        • @mannabeans: Just sent $25 as I've bought the 8 pack one recently. Sent to the [email protected] address in my last Paypal email. Hope that's the right one.

  • Any deals on 3kg package?

    • Happy to add an extra 1kg to the deal for $25 You can send money through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes in Paypal :-) Thanks

      • Am interested in the same - is it 6 x 480gm packs ?

        • I can certainly do that for you. Please leave notes in Paypal :-)

        • @mannabeans:
thanks just placed the order - cheers & appreciate the deal

DAMN this looks good.. okay, this means up my coffee intake to 5 a day! =P

    • +5

That's my breakfast ;-) haha When I was judging at the World's Richest Barista Comp a few weeks back I had to try 150 coffees over 3 days. Some with alcohol

  • when were these roasted?

    • +2

They haven't been yet ;-) All fresh roasted to order

      • hey rep can i get decaf swapped in with the lucky dip?
happy to pay a bit more

  • Any thoughts on doing 1KG deals? I find that I don't go through 2KG quick enough, would prefer to buy in 1 KG lots… anyways just a thought for you :)

    • Happy to do 2 x 480f for $35 delivered for you if that helps? Funds can be sent through Paypal to [email protected] and notes left :-)

  • rep any chance i can swap 1 or 2 for decaf?

    • Please leave a note in Paypal and I'll try to assist :-)

  • Hi @mannabeans

I think I'm just about ready to make the step from using a pod machine at home to using fresh roasted beans.

I've been really impressed with your customer support on here so I really hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions.

First off I'm a 1 coffee a day drinker (drink of choice would be a large latte)

From my research I'm leaning towards an aeropress + manual burr grinder setup.

Onto the beans. As I don't drink much, I'm concerned if I buy into a deal like this one that the coffee will get stale before I get around to using it. Is there anyway I'd be able to keep an order like this fresh using less than 20gm a day? If not do you have deals on smaller quantities?

Half of my coffee drinking would also have to be decaf (get home late from work and enjoy the taste of a coffee but don't need the hit) I'm unsure if I'm educated enough on coffee to be able to pick which of the non decaf coffee beans would be best for me I generally like a strongish somewhat smokey/choclatey but not bitter coffee.

So with the above info would you be able to guide me on an appropriate purchase/deal I could do with you?

    Thanks in advance

    • Hi drc13, thanks for your interest and info provided. Aeropress are great and my favoured device when travelling. smokey chocolate is probably describing a slightly darker roast or one where some smoke is allowed to stay in the drum towards the end of the roast.

This is often thought of as a stronger coffee but believe it or not the darker you roast the more caffeine is actually burnt off, so technically weaker.

We generally roast medium dark for our milk based coffee ie latte as it allows more body to develop which along with sweetness is an important part of a milk coffee. Most of these deals including this one would be suitable. I do actually have some spare decaf just roasted which is a blend of a Guatemalan decaf and a Brazil decaf and should also suit your requirements.

Some choose to freeze unopened bags but results are subjective and I haven't had any experience myself to comment. Although I can't promise to always have decaf deals available to you I'm happy to start you off on this occasion with a smaller deal if that suits you better.

I can do 480g decaf domination blend and 480g Brazil Blue Diamond(or any of the coffees listed in this deal) for $35 delivered. You can send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes.

Please ensure that notes are left so that my staff can action as I will be away on an origin trip this coming week and am off the grid as of now :-)

      Cheers
      Simon

      • Thanks for the quick reply Simon.

Sounds great, Just got to order myself an aeropress and a grinder, once they arrive I'll shoot through an order for a couple of bags.

        Enjoy the trip/game!

        • No problem, thanks :-) Happy to add an Aeropress to a coffee order for $39.95 if that helps.

Don't have domestic burr grinders in stock at the moment but don't forget the 20% off ebay sale going on at the moment for Good Guys and Bing Lee. They stock burr grinders :-)

        • Awesome thanks for the offer, I'd been scoping out an Aeropress (latest gold letter version) for $39 delivered so your price sounds fair. Deciding between Hario or Porlex grinder at the moment, can't justify an electric burr just yet, hope I don't regret that decision!

        • @drc13:

Would go electric. I had the aero and porlex set up, and it just takes time to manually grind to a point that you find it a pain.

Would invest in an electric in your initial setup.

        • @orin:

Thanks mate, ended up ordering myself a breville dose control burr grinder, an aeropress and just put in an order for some mannabeans so hopefully I'll be brewing something pretty nice soon!

        • @mannabeans:

          Hey Simon,

Just received my delivery of my mannabeans, very excited even the post office lady commented on how nice it smelt :) Unfortunately there are a couple of issues with the order (suspect it's a case of misunderstanding) is there a better place to contact you about these other than ozb?

          Thanks mate

        • @drc13: Hi, certainly is. I've actually been in New Zealand for a few days and back tomorrow so possible my staff made a mistake as they would have been under more pressure in my absence. Back in Australia tomorrow and at the roastery Monday if you want to give me a call. Otherwise if you shoot me an email with details I can look into it for you :-)

        • @mannabeans:

Too easy mate, email [email protected] or do you have a direct one you'd rather I use? Nothing too bad I can understand how it happened so hopefully easy enough to sort out.

          Cheers

        • @drc13: Thanks, that email is fine or you're welcome to use [email protected] I'll keep my eye out for the email and I'll be back in at the roastery in the morning :-)

        • @mannabeans:
I too have a problem with my order. The above post makes sense. Will email.

        • +1

          @mannabeans:

Just wanted to thank Simon for his fantastic service and lovely coffee beans. Will be placing another order once I get through this batch. Cheers mate!

Thanks Manna Beans! Received my order this morning. Zipped home to grind up some of the lucky dip inclusion, in this case the Jamocha. Back to work and onto my second cup for the day. Absolute magic, so smooth! Note to self - Don't buy shitty supermarket beans again!

    • Thanks for the feedback and happy to hear that you're enjoying the coffee :- ) have a fantastic weekend

  • Just ordered.

Happy if the Luck Dip is Jamocha - great all-rounder.

    Chris

Delivered to Adelaide 2 days later.

Lucky dip is brilliant - Colombia Huila La Loma Microlot.

      Chris

  • Hi rep, is the two for $35 still available? Looking at trying the Panama and Guatemala.

    • Certainly are but I won't be roasting more Guat and Panama until Monday so you would receive on Tuesday :-)

  • Manna Beans blocked :(

I am going to order this one and hope for the best. Your coffee is great!

    • All good :-) Happy to still honour this deal for you. Apparently there were 2 Ozbargain users who have voted on our deals that were linked to being friends or family of us so we have been put in the penalty box for 2 weeks for sockpuppeting. We can't list any new deals during this period. Thanks

      • Hey! surely your awesome history spoke for something!?
I had to buy from Veneziano on Montague St (not a bad thing but not Manna Beans)

Need something South American or Hawaiian SOON

        • Did we confess to you we bought 6lbs of Kona on our recent Hawaiian trip? - We've drunk it allllll……need good coffee….
        • Hey eglathangion good to hear from you :-) hope you enjoyed your trip. Hawaiian Kona is a great coffee. I was also drinking some last week through the Aeropress. Beautifull!

I have some great new Colombians and Brazilians just arrived so just shoot me an email when you're ready and I'll put something together for you. Also have a couple of new Burundi coffees

      • What a pity. Well I'll just have to be non-ozbargain and put an order in at full price!

  • +1

Hello Manna Bean Rep. Sorry to hear you are not able to list for 2 weeks. Miss your deals. I noticed that your expired deals are still linking to your site. Can I still place orders on your expired deal links? I am keen on 2 x 980g Southern Mountains for $59.95. They are great! Thanks.

    • Hey JC, thanks. That's no problem, you're welcome to put the order through the last deal page and leave notes about southern mountain :-)
