Hi,
I have laptop that has SIM card slot (so there is no need to hook up the USB Dongle, if I need to go online).
Now, the thing is, I unable to check the incoming SMS, unless I hook up the physical USB dongle and select "SMS" from the Telstra page.
I contacted Telstra, unfortunately I will not be able to check SMS online, and that's the only way to do it.
Does anyone has any smart idea to make sure that I can check the SMS without swap the physical USB dongle and Sim card slot?
Thanks
Note: I have tried http://m.home/index.html#sms (when plugged in the SIM card to computer sim slot); but didn't work… :(
what type of system are you running?
are you able to obtain cellular signal when the sim is connected to your latop then it can be done.
you need to connect to the correct COM port for the sim then execute the correct AT commands.
good resource is here: http://m2msupport.net/m2msupport/software-and-at-commands-fo…
with these commands you should be able to do a number of things, such as check cellular signal stregth, as well as send and check SMS.
if you're averse to running this sort of thing over the command line, my favourite is this one:
