Are these Chupa Chups made in Indonesia for their market, ie grey imports?
You know, in the catalogue it doesn't say that they're 'Parallel Imports', but it did say that they're Made in China. Then again, I think they might be made there now anyway.

Parallel Import products from the reject shops may differ to the actual thing we find in the bigger supermarkets Coles and Safeway. I myself have bought these lollipops and yes some flavors taste different to the 'made for Australia' ones. i.e orange and apple flavors. FYI, the origin of these chupa chupps are from Vietnam (made for indo market), not china.
No, the origin is China. I have the bag in front of me, and I wouldn't have said the wrong thing when someone already asked me.
Mine are though, it says "Origin: Vietnam". Who cares even. Not much different in erm quality. And, the ones at safeway and coles ARENOT "made in china". So if you really dislike eating china made chupa chupps then, go get some sumwhere else.
The proper ones are made in Spain.
I think the Hot Dollar discount shops sell Indonesian made ones.
The formulas can be different to cater for local tastes. The quality control from these places is definately of a lower standard.
If it's labelled Indochine or Indo-Chine? That would be Vietnam.

The Vietnam Chupas are the ones Cdbry Schwps used to import b4 they started getting them from China.
The Chinese ones have been a bit of a failure and have been sold off cheap(dumped).
I am more than happy with the Viet ones.."Best Of" Assted Flavours,apple,orange,watermelon,strawb,cola,strawb/cream….10 cents ea.
