Urgent! Wife's Birthday This Weekend. Where to Go in Victoria?

Guys, need urgent help. My wifes birthday is coming up this weekend and I am thinking of some nice outing place where we could spend our day.

Please suggest, considering the weather, what are the best options we could go…

Mornington Peninsula for some hot springs. Can always pamper your SO with some good food and spa treatment .

there are plenty of attractions around like parks, garden, winery tours, strawberry farms.

  • I think I have a dirt track mind, I read the title as Wife's body this weekend… ;)

  • Chaddy + your credit card? :)

Daylesford Spas, Shopping & Dining strip and the nearby Chocolate Mill is a good daytrip / weekend away. You can rent lovely houses up there for the weekend too.

Whatever you do - have a great time!

  • Does she love Roald Dahl? Matilda the musical is on and I would ADORE a trip to see it and night in the city.

Daylesford spa or Yarra Valley :) first option is Daylesford - it's romantic and relaxing destination.

  • Thanks for the options folks…

GOR … Been there so many times… Not again.
Anyone been to hot springs?? What kinda budget I should expect … ?
    Is daylesford better than mornington?
    No live musicals…wifey doesn't like it :)

    Thanks again for the suggestions

  • Otway Fly?

    One of the 3 zoos?

Or you'll have the $9 SkyDeck tickets being released tomorrow, perhaps go to Eureka?

  • Peninsula Hot Springs is a LOT better than Hepburn Spa bathhouse ( still ok ).

  • Maccas.

  • Sydney

Wilson's Prom is great, so long as the weather plays along. And, as a Melburnian, I know that it does not always to that in May…
One thing I would have suggested is this. Once every 6-8 weeks my wife and I 'play tourist' in Melbourne. We take a tram or train into the CBD, then we wander through the laneways, having lunch at one of the dumpling places we like in Chinatown, and sometimes take in a Saturday night stage show. Then we stay in a hotel that we get on one of the last-minute websites, have a Sunday brunch, then coast home on Sunday afternoon.
Not for everyone, but we like it. And makes you realise what a great town we live in.

No need to go all the way to Wilson's Prom. You can head to fish Creek for the annual tea cosy festival http://teacosyfestival.com.au/
Great even if the weather is cold!
